Saw Noah as well, I agree it was different from what I expected of Aronofsky but I liked it anyway, though Conelly can't act and was freaking annoying throughout the movie. Read the Bible a long time ago so no idea what it's worth bible-wise

"The Sentinel" (1977) was on again this morning while I was getting ready for work. Super duper creepy horror film that traumatized me when I was a kid with its finale scene.

Great plot involving guarding the gates of Hell.

It had the most star-packed list of actors for a horror movie - EVER. Not just established actors, but actors who were still emerging and would have big careers - like Christopher Walken, Deborah Raffin, Beverly D'Angelo, Chris Sarandon (Susan's first husband), Jerry Orbach, and Jeff Goldblum.

But here are the established actors who were in it:
    Jose Ferrer
    Ava Gardner
    John Carradine
    Martin Balsam
    Eli Wallach
    Burgess Meredith
    Sylvia Miles

Cristina Raines was the star. Gorgeous, but kind of vapid. Long-girlfriend of Mark Harmon before it ended VERY badly.

Some shots from the film of Wallach, Walken, Goldblum, Raines, Sarandon, and Gardner (still looking hot):

Frozen, finally. Meh. It was fine, but there are plenty of better Disney movies. The snowman was fucking annoying.

I say the dialogue right along with it. Fave scene:

I saw "Heaven Is For Real" over the weekend. It's a really good movie.

I read about it. The story was that Harmon was cheating on Raines with Shawn Weatherly, who I think was some kind of actress/beauty queen. Raines was so furious that she sued him for palimony or something. It sounds like Harmon screwed his head on straight after that.

I loved it so much that I saw it twice at the movie theater. The second time I saw it, the power went out in the theater and while everybody was getting restless, a skinhead and a hippie-looking guy got in a massive fistfight in the totally dark theater. When they got the lights back on and they escorted the two guys out, the long-haired guy had tufts of his hair pulled out and lying loosely all over his shirt.

Yeah, cause he and Pam Dawber are the picture of domesticity. You never hear any kind of drama. But Pam pretty much gave up her career.

I watched The Out of Towners last night.

a simply hilarious movie imo. Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis are terrific in this.

Ride Along with Kevin Hart. Overrated. you won't be missing anything. All the funny parts were in the trailer.
