GBF - This was such a funny and cute movie. It reminded me a lot of Mean Girls.

Before Midnight. Improved as it went along but I was disappointed in the tired-feeling perfs of Hawke and Delpy. Not the same old spark at all. Am I alone in feeling this way?

The Grandmaster. What an awful, long and boring movie. I used to love Wong Kar Wai and I think Tony Leung is hot as hell, but this was bad. Sigh, we'll always have Chungking express.

"Prometheus". I'm glad I didn't see it in a theatre. I kept exclaiming "YOU IDIOT" every five seconds. My husband thought it was pretty funny, and yeah I did keep watching. I knew nothing about "Prometheus" beforehand, but it wasn't hard to recognize that it's an "Alien" prequel. Every single character was so painfully stupid, though. These were supposed to be scientists, top-notch professionals, but the dumb, horny teen victims from slasher flicks regularly make better decisions than anybody in this film did. What a disappointment.

Breaking the Waves with Emily Watson. Rough going, but a superb performance by Emily. Did she get an Oscar nod for this? She should have.

yeah it won the grand prix at cannes and watson was nominated for an oscar. she deserved to win, but so did frances mcdormand, who actually did.

I didn't see Fargo, so I'll reserve my judgment. But that ignorant backwater village in Scotland where Bess lived, I wanted to line up those church elders in front of a firing squad.

Finally saw Man of Steel. Damn waste of time. Russell Crowe was decent as was Diane Lane. Henry Cavill was horrid. He was so flat and boring. The action sequences went on so incredibly long that I found myself trying to make a mental grocery list for tomorrow night.

We took the kids to go see The Lego Movie. It was pretty good for a kid's movie, the kids loved it of course, and it did a decent enough job of keep us adults entertained as well.

NO not at all. I loved the Prequels, but now it was watching this old (him ugly) boring couple.

RoboCop. I was entertained. It wasn't as good as the original though as a kid me and my sisters watched it a hundred times so I didn't expect to like this one more. Gary Oldman was awesome as was Joel.

    Cracks.

Character studies at an all-girls boarding school in 1930s. Plot involves a new student who gets the attention of a beloved teacher and manages to show (through tragedy) appearance isn't the reality. Good acting all around. Gave me creeps for a week.

Nowhere Boy. John Lennon's childhood traumas. It was kind of slow but in the end pretty touching.
