Ted. I actually liked it and I figured I wouldn't because I can't get into Family Guy.

Hitchcock. I enjoyed this one as well. Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren were terrific together.

"Moonrise Kingdom". By Wes Anderson (the guy who did "Rushmore" and "The Royal Tennenbaums").

We found this accidentally on cable last night, while I was hanging out and getting the kids ready for bed. I was instantely mesmerized. It's about a 12-year-old boy who is an orphan and kind of a misfit, who runs into his perfect match. While he is on a scouting trip, he sends her a message that he will pick her up at her house and they will run off together. Which they do. Besides being a great movie, it really reminded me of being that age and finding girls to be mysterious, beautiful, , intimidating, intoxicating, and fun.

Another cool thing because I didn't know anything about the film was seeing all the people who starred in it. First, there was Edward Norton as a math teacher/scout leader. And Bruce Willis as a depressed small-town police officer. And Francis McDormand and Bill Murray as a couple with four young kids. And Harvey Freaking Keitel as the scout master. And Tilda Swington as a hot, but mean social services worker. Can't wait to see this again.

I saw it yesterday. I never bought the premise. I tried, but couldn't. Therefore the movie ends up stupid to me. What makes it watchable is Joaquin and Amy Adam's performances. I could watch those two act all day. FWIW, Mr. Corn didn't want to see it and ended up liking it.

Also saw American Hustle. Campy and fun. Well told. Again, the actors make the movie for me. This time Amy Adams and Christian Bale. JLaw is watchable but I thought she overacted it at times. Still, a fun ride and worth the price of admission.

Harem, with Ben Kingsley and Nastassja Kinski.

Dull, disjointed, Arab people speaking English among themselves, wtf? What a waste of Kingsley's talent!

Next on my list is Lost Highway

Antitrust with Ryan Phillippe...it gets better each time I watch it. He did make some good movies every now and then.

We watched 2 Guns and The Millers. I like Mark Wahlburg and Denzel Washington in any movie, so it was enjoyable for me. The Millers had a few funny lines in it, but not the best comedy I have ever watched.

I also had a movie sent to me I didn't ask for,...Love and Honor, with Liam Hemsworth. He isn't the best actor, but he has times where he can pull off a scene or two.

The Lone Ranger. It was good, would watch another Lone Ranger movie, but seemed long.

Runner, runner. It was ok. Not as good as the town or the departed. Maybe that's cuz of timberlake?

We watched Prisoners, The Intership and Mud. Prisoners and Mud were both very good! I was happy to have 2 out of the 3 movies this weekend that I actually liked and enjoyed!

The Intership was stupid, just as I thought. I never expect much out of Vaughn and Ol' Penis Nose....and they do not disappoint.

Has anyone one else watched Prisoners? I was totally distracted by Jake Gyllenhaal blinking over and over through out the movie. Does he have a tick that I have never noticed before or heard about? I can't ever remember seeing him do this in any other movie, but it drove me nuts! Everytime he was on screen for more than a few seconds he do these blinks or ticks, and it got progressively worse towards the end of the movie.

I didn't notice it at first,...but then I spied it maybe half way through, and I couldn't stop watching for it. I hate that. Now I will always watch to see if he does it in other movies. It bugs me when I notice something weird like that, and then I can't get past it.
