I finally saw The Sound of Music this past weekend. I actually liked it more than I expected.

I saw American Hustle. Christian Bale deserves an Oscar nod for his role. The movie was great!
I loved all the horrible 70's fashion and awful men's hair styles. Ha!

    The Lone Ranger
Fantastic! I usually don't like Johnny Depp' s movies but this one was great. Armie was good too.

^ Just watched that for the first time last night. Cute. It seemed slow though.

We watched Bend It Like Beckham today. My daughter got it for Christmas. I was expecting a movie about soccer players who happen to have cultural differences. Instead it was a movie about cultural differences with a small backdrop of soccer. It opened up some great conversation topics but I'm not sure it was the best movie for an 8 year old girl.

^My exact feeling about Anchorman 2. I don't like Will Ferrell so didn't like most of the movie, although there were a couple pretty funny moments. I didn't like the first one either so didn't expect to like it, but was still underwhelmed.

Trading Places cause it was on TV and I cant stop myself from watching it every time it plays. Jamie Lee Curtis had a sick body. Those gravity defying breasts! Wow

Also Elysium on Blu Ray. Beautiful film but it had nothing going on upstairs. The story was laughably bad.

It was on, literally, ALL day on AMC!

I was in bed for 2 days with the Christmas flu, so I watched BET's airings of the miniseries Roots and Queen. I had not seen either one of these since they originally aired on TV in 1977 and 1993, respectively. I had forgotten how good Halle Berry was in the role of Queen Jackson Haley. That was like her very first acting role, too.

The internship with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. Expected it to be funnier.

We watched The Croods over the holiday. It was a cute movie and had a heart warming family message. Had me tearing up a tad...

We also watched The Man of Steel and Red 2. They were pretty good. I do enjoy John Malkovich...he cracks me up! Love his gruff style of comedy, and when he goes on a cussing spree in some of his movies.

Olympus has fallen. I normally stay away from Gerard Butler's films, I just can't stand his acting. But this movie, he was a total fucking BADASS!!! Action packed and fast paced. Two snaps up.

Fantastic! Loved every minute of it. I can't believe I haven't seen it sooner.
