I rented "Disconnect" with Jason Bateman on the PPV. Dark movie, but thought it was fabulous.

Blood- Paul Bettany, Mark Strong, Bryan Cox, Steven Graham. Good actors, so-so story.

"Mars Attacks". It has everything - Jack Nicholson as the President, Jack Nicholson as a redneck, Jack Black getting vaporized, Sara Jessica Parker's head getting swapped with a chihuhua's, Jim Brown dressed as an Egyptian, Pam effing Grier, Martin Short at his unctuous best, and Tom Jones singing "It's Not Unusual". And that's just in the first 45 minutes.

Meh, it has Paul Bettany in it. I'll watch it.

Re-watched 'Cape fear', the 1991 Scorsese/deniro version. Awesome and oh so creepy.
also, Jessica lange's wardrobe in that is perfection, late 80s/early 90s meets french new wave.

Pain & Gain. Liked it. Was a shock that it was a Michael Bay film, wasn't anything like his usual fare. Pretty funny though at times a bit outrageous.

We watched the Bling Ring. It was pretty good. A strong statement on the fascination with celebrities and the vapidness of those who emulate them. Based on a true story, but I don't remember us discussing it here. A bunch of kids broke into Paris Hilton, Audrina Patridge, Lindsay Lohan, and Orlando Bloom's houses and stole a bunch of clothes, jewelry, money and drugs.

Until this movie I thought I was Audrina Partridge, like the Partridge family.

The First Wives Club. First time watching it, I absolutely loved it! Definitely one for movie night with my girlfriends.

Pitch Perfect. I was way too tired to get up to find the remote.
i've come to the conclusion that Rebel Wilson can't act, and Anna Kendricks teeth irritate the shit out of me.

Tess of the d'Urbervilles, the 1998 version. I will watch anything with Justine Waddell in it. She was superb.

My daughter instantly liked it, and then I went upstairs and woke up my son to tell him it was on. They were rolling.
I watched that a while back with my son, too. I figured I'd hate it, but it was pretty funny.

Yesterday I watched october sky. recommended by my son, but I was pleasantly surprised. A few tearful moments. Highly recommend. Sorry about the lack of caps, my comp isn't cooperating lately.
