Saw James Bond: Skyfall today. Didn't love it as much as Royale, but it was a cinematic masterpiece compared to that second one. It touched me to see his loyalty to M. *sad smile*

snowtown murders - about john bunting, australia`s worst serial killer, but more focused on him grooming his stepson to join him. really grim, chilling and unflinching movie but i thought it could have been better. the accents were difficult for me to understand and i had to look up a bunch of stuff to help me figure out what was going on, who was who, etc. (maybe bc i needed subtitles...)

I tried watching Snowtown Murders, but couldn't get through it. I had no problem understanding the accents, it was just slow to me.

^ya it was slow, i think b/c of the gritty/grim filming there was nothing to grasp your attention as far as cinematography, edits, or score go. which is a shame b/c i think its an interesting topic and interesting dynamics b/w the two main characters that could have been done much better.

^I didn't even know they'd made a movie about Snowtown but I'm not sure I'd want to see it, that whole thing was pretty gruesome and fucked up. Bunting has one of those faces that exudes evil (and stupidity).

Once Upon a Time in the West

Loved it but unfortunately it was so long I dozed off for some part near the end and missed some pretty important stuff, I think. I will have to rewatch.

I may have a renewed thing for young Charles Bronson now... Don't judge me, please!

Yay! Charles Bronson love! Loved him in those 70s and early 80s revenge movies where something shitty would happen to his family and he would fuck everybody up to avenge them. As a kid those films were like crack for me, would always sit through them on TV or beg my poor parents to rent them.

I have all the Death Wish movies! My parents didn't censor so I was watching them as a kid and cheering for him to kill everyone! 10 to Midnight is another favorite!

I went to see Silver Linings Playbook today, I loved it! It was a heartwarming and feel good movie. Bradley Cooper was surprisingly really good as bi-polar Pat Solatano, Jennifer Lawrence won me over as Tiffany, that girl can ACT (first time I've seen anything with her in it). Robert DeNiro & Jackie Weaver were wonderful as Pat's parents and I really empathised with them trying to cope with Pat's condition even though they loved him regardless. It was a nice surprise to see Chris Tucker & Anupam Kher in it, Tucker provided comic relief whenever he was on screen and felt they were somewhat underused in the movie. I found the entire cast interacted so well with each other onscreen, the chemistry was very strong in particular Jennifer & Bradley's. I would definitely watch it again.

    Cloud Atlas (2012) - IMDb

This film is based on a novel which interweaves six stories. It makes a rather complex and at times confusing movie. If you don't like to think during a movie, forget it. If you find the idea of "reincarnation" silly, don't see it either. For me it was a beautiful film. It kinda reminded me of Magnolia. I will have to see it again to absorb it all. The actors play various characters and Hugh Grant looked like a totally different human being at times. That is part of the charm of the movie - you suddenly realize who the actor is. Anyway, if I say more I'll spoil it for you.

I tried to watch The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo again. Maybe I have ADHD or something, but I could not get into it.
