Old DVD I found while cleaning my entertainment center - 40 Days and 40 Nights with Josh Hartnett. Really bad stuff. I had to watch it to see what the fascination was. He was cute, but maybe his acting was not so hot?

Not sure I could personally handle 2 hrs of her bullshit.
Lynnie - I heard it focused way too much on her marriage and personal life. I don't think your girls would understand that or enjoy it. The reviews are not great and I just read that sales are low.

I went and watched Savages last night - I actually enjoyed it, although it seemed a little long. If you ask me, movies in general this summer have been pretty crappy.

My girls loved that movie so much. I haven't seen it, but do like the fact that Harry Connick Jr is in it. Meow! Morgan Freeman? Notsomuch.

I always get the title of that mixed up with 30 Days of Night (too many numbers for my feeble mind to keep track of) which is the one of the only Josh Hartnett movies I've liked.

30 Days of Night was a good movie, one of his few good ones.

    The Edge of Heaven

I found this on Netflix the other night

it's a great German film from 2007 that I really found rather fascinating

When his father accidentally kills a prostitute, Nejat Aksu (Baki Davrak) seeks out her 27-year-old daughter, Ayten (Nurgül Yesilcay), to make amends. Nejat focuses his search in Turkey, but Ayten, who's part of a closely watched activist group, has fled to Germany. The lives of four Turks and two Germans are soon entwined as a result of circumstances beyond their control in this compelling drama, which earned Best Screenplay honors at Cannes.

"Young Adult" with Charlize Theron. It's a good movie - that's all I can say.

Your Sister's Sister - well, it sounded good, positive reviews, indie (mumblecore) cred and then, I watched it. Oh, dear. Great acting, setting but the narrative? Yuck. The whole film builds up to one binary climax and -- the credits roll before the decision is revealed. Ripoff? Yeah, but thought I should warn you as it'll probably be in your dollar bin at the video store next week. You have been warned.

Company Men. It's a story of three men who get fired from high profile jobs at the same company. Tommy Lee Jones has aged a ton recently but he was good in this role. Ben Affleck and Kevin Costner were also pretty good. The movie itself was fairly depressing. I kept waiting to see which one of them was going to off himself first.

    Shadow of a Doubt
Teresa Wright and Joseph Cotten were fab, and so was Hume Cronyn. One of my favorite Hitchcocks.
