I like Twister too. It's silly obviously but fun too.

The kids and I went and saw Ige Age 4 (or whatever it's called) friday - they enjoyed it a lot. I thought it was ok but I hope they stop the movies now.

I am surprised I hadn't heard of her by name before. Turns out she's been in tons of things that I've scene but I've always thought of her as an older character actress. Seeing her as the young ingenue with wisdom and character beyond her years and 'street education' was very enjoyable.
She was one of the most underrated actresses from the Golden Age, and quite a beauty too.

The Joneses with David Duchovney and Demi Moore. It was about a fake family who moves into a neighborhood and tries to sell their lifestyle (and cars, dining sets, toliets etc) to the neighbors who are trying to keep up with them. It was fairly predictable but an ok way to spend the hour and a half it took me to iron all my clothes for the upcoming week.

Saw Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter last night. For someone who loves b movies and didn't read the book, it was great. Really enjoyed the hell out of it. I've heard the ending is completely different from the book, so anyone who really enjoyed it probably won't enjoy the movie.

But yeah, if you like to laugh at self-aware big dumb horror/big dumb action, it comes through.

we saw Ted yesterday. i don't know if it was me (since my brother passed away) or if the movie wasn't that good, but i just didn't care for it.

Sure there were some funny spots, but overall i thought it was poorly done. could have been so much more funny. The gags could have been better.

Sorry to hear about your brother Ms. Deb.

I finally saw Notes On A Scandal tonight and just basked in the awesomeness of Cate Blanchett and Judi Dench.

I wanted to see Notes on a Scandal.

A couple of nights ago, I saw they had Battle Royale on Netflix finally, so I watched that. I can completely see where people thought Suzanne Collins' book was ripping off Battle Royale, but I also see that there were pretty big differences. It was way more graphic than The Hunger Games.

My girls are begging to go see that stupid Katy Perry movie....

Has anyone seen it? Appropriate for younger kids (5 & 8)?

Not sure I could personally handle 2 hrs of her bullshit.
