I liked it and thought Michelle Williams did a pretty good job as Marilyn

A BBC movie about the construction of the Titanic. Pretty interesting stuff - gets into the political/religious tensions going on in Ireland at the time, and its effect on the men who built the ship. Caught it on YouTube of all places.

    The Avengers

Huge fun. I thought that with that big cast some would get shortchanged but it wasn't the case. I'm not sure that losing Edward Norton as the Hulk was such a huge loss after all, Mark Ruffalo does a truly excellent job and his is some of the finest acting in the film. Johanson looks like a fanboi dream all curvy and boobs bouncing about, esp in her first scene but I think her acting is pretty decent too, Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark is hilariously snarky oh and Gwyneth Paltrow looks hot in all her scenes as Pepper Pots. Sorry, I know you hate Goopy and all but she's gorgeous.

Fast paced, fun, fabulous effects, esp. on that flying headquarters thingie and in general the way all the tech is shown, great interraction between the characters accessible to a comics noob like me and fun for knowledgable people like the friend I saw it with and all around pretty excellent without taking itself too seriously. Highly recommended.

    10/10 (for the genre)
What if Superman is psychotic and everyone can see that he's Clark Kent but they just play along not to set him off?

I thought it was incredibly lame. I barely made it to the end. It was really disappointing because I had been looking forward to seeing it so much.

I completely agree with you, I saw it yesterday with girlfriends and we were all kind of hysterical over Robert Downey Jr, he brings a lot of fun to the movie, but even Thor manages to be fun ("he's adopted", best line of the movie )

And they must have edited Scarlet's stupid poses, which is good, because that was pretty annoying in Iron Man 2 and even in the trailer.

^ Im glad they stopped that posing madness. It was totally uncalled for and unbelievable. Maybe if the fight was over and she posed but she posed after knocking each person out as another ran up behind her.

I like Goopy and Ruffalo. Would love to see his take on the Bruce Banner character.

^ I loved that movie. I had never heard of it, and stumbled across it one day on cable.

Another cute movie, sort of like Broken Hearts was All Over the Guy. Some really funny parts

    It's a relief indeed !
That was really ridiculous, I remember that scene in Iron Man 2 where she knocks out at least 10 guys, everytime stopping one or two seconds to take a stupid pose as though there were some photographer right in front of her, that was really maddening !

I'm still confused. Maybe it was an early release. A friend in Chicago managed to see it early too. He said it's everything you've been waiting for in a movie.
