    Crazy, Stupid Love

"Fuck, seriously? It's like you're photoshopped!"

5 out of 5 as a good timekiller type of movie.
Watching the whole movie was worth watching a bunch of men punch each other.
    Who?
    Watch it and find out.

I can't stand Woody Allen or his dumbass movies, with one exception. Ya'll gotta see "Picking up the Pieces". That shit is freaking hilarious.

Has anyone seen A Dangerous Method? I'm thinking about seeing it, it looks interesting.

Bran Nue Dae, an Aboriginal musical set in the 60s in remote Western Australia. Cute and beautifully shot, the story isn't much and it's a bit silly in parts but it was good fun. Geoffrey Rush is funny as an arsehole German priest.

Today I was the ultimate couch potato and warched three movies in a row:

The Descendants - very good movie and I think Clooney will win an Oscar.

Moneyball- pretty good movie, even if you don't give a rat's ass about baseball, which I don't.

Midnight In Paris- I LOVED it! I think Woody Allen will get an Oscar nomination for at least best screenplay if not director.

Rabbit Without Ears 1 and 2. I spent the afternoon after a big night out slumped on the couch ready to be entertained by light romantic comedies - except they were subtitled and in German, so it was a bit of an ask to have to read 2 movies and get my head around the nuances of German humour when my brain was on a go-slow. But the 1st one was very cute, even though there were some annoying things that didn't make sense or were just ridiculous. But the lead couple worked well together and there were some genuinely funny moments.

I don't know why they bothered to make the second one, just to cash in I guess. It seemed a pointless 'break them up then bring them back together' sequel, when the original story ended exactly where it should have. Parts of it were so gross I fast forwarded, which I rarely ever do because a lot of the time gross = hilarious. Not on this occasion sadly.

    Cool

    Untouchable: The Drew Peterson Story

It was on Lifetime last night and was actually pretty good.

Rob Lowe did a great job of playing that freak show Drew Peterson.

    I have.
I don't know what to think of it.
The acting was brilliant, the story very interesting, but I don't think it was a great topic for the screen, too ... how to say? I had the impression that a book was being read to me. A very boring book.
But at the same time I kind of liked it. I'm confused

Red with Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, and Mary Louise Parker.

It seemed that there was a joke and the only one not in on it was Bruce Willis. The story is about an ex-CIA super agent who is retired and becomes the target of the CIA hitmen. He finds his human side (in the form of MLP) and assembles a group of ex-super agents to help him. Bruce Willis and the man hired to kill him (the pseudo-hot Karl Urban) seem to think they are in some high level drama. The rest of the cast seems to know they're in a comedic parody. Those of us watching the movie couldn't figure out who was right (even in the end). Good idea. Poor execution. Malkovich was hilarious.

Another add on...in the end we see BW and MLP making out like teenagers in the back of the car while the rest of their group looks on. It felt weird and really, really creepy.

After passing it over again and again, I finally watched The Reader. Well, to be honest, I glanced at it on occasion while finishing the book I was reading. I did start getting into it toward the end, so I think I'll have to give it another look and actually watch the entire thing next time.

The Lion In Winter-for the millionth time. Best performance of Katherine Hepburn's life. Great dialogue- In a world where carpenters get resurrected, everything is possible......Doesn't every family have its ups and downs.... The gorgeous Peter O'Toole. Just fantastic.

The Mechanic. I liked it. Mindless action and Jason Statham. Yum.

Half-Life. Strange, offbeat apopalyptic tale about an Asian-American family's last days in a global warming crisis. I think.
