Watched Super 8 and Conan the Barbarian. We also had the new Pirates movie,...but ran out of time for it.

Super 8 was a pretty good movie. Dakota's sister, Elle, is so much prettier than Dakota. She isn't a bad little actor, either.

Conan was okay for that type of movie. It was nice to see the lead actor since he is from Iowa. He did an okay job, but his eyebrow is distrating to me. It had some pretty bloody scenes in it. Sometimes it looked like they dumped a whole bucket of blood when someones head got smashed, or they were stabbed. lol

Serial Mom. I can watch this movie every time it's on. Kathleen Turner is awsome in it.

Finally someone that agrees with me! This movie was a total let down! Even the final fight was condensed to five minutes if that! Eight movies and thats all we get?

I really want to see this one, but then I love depressing Von Trier films.

The Muppets. It just made me really happy to see them on screen again.

Super 8. I liked it though the Alien was totally ripped out of the movie Alien and the end was kind of lame.

Redneck Zombies. My kid decided to buy me this in the dollar bin. Horrible acting and effects. Laughed my ass off.

Marathon Boy- A doc about Budhia Singh, an Indian slum child trained to run marathons. A very interesting story on multiple levels

Grimm-to me it was when the alien in Super 8 was bearing down on them just made me think of Alien.

Hanna. Not as bad as I had heard but didn't love the ending.

Happy feet 2. (Was the first that bad too ?) What a waste of time and money. Horrible story, horrible music, not even made a bit cute for little kids (my niece was as bored as I was) We left after 45 minutes.

Saw Just Go With It and Twilight this weekend. Before you all jump on me, I had some stomach bug and put on mindless crap from midnight until 4am to get through it. My husband cancelled streaming on Netflix so I was stuck with what was on.

Just Go With it was mindless entertainment. Adam Sandler played the same character he always plays. So did Jennifer Aniston. Nicole Kidman was sort of a pleasant, campy suprise. The movie was 100% predictable. When they were filming this, I remember a lot of people saying Jennifer Aniston was stupid for staring next to Brooklyn Decker. In reality, JA's body blew away BDs. In fact, they seemed to do everything possible to highlight BD's frumpy hips. Weird.

Twilight...oh ffs. I read books and cursed the hours I lost of my life. THe movie wasn't any better. I thought maybe I'd see the appeal of Robert Pattinson after seeing it but I still don't get it. Kristen Stewart is quite pretty on screen though. THe movie isn't even worth discussing. Awful acting. Awful writing. Awful effects. I actually laughed out loud when Edward started to sparkle in the sunlight.

I remember I saw Just go with it during a flight, I usually can't stand Adam Sandler movies. To my surprise, I enjoyed it, thought it was cute.

The last movies I saw was The Notebook, decided to see it after all my friends kept talking how great it was and how they whipped. Thought it was a nice story, but unrealistic. *sigh*

    The Rocketeer.

It was released in 1990 but I never watched it until now. Super cheesy special effects. Jennifer Connely is in it and she looks so young (and in need of having her upper lip waxed, but that is just my 2 cents.) Pretty much a waste of a couple hours but I had nothing better to do.
