"For Colored Girls". I Thought is was gonna be the same ole' same ole' Tyler Perry film, but this one was different. I really liked it!

Gnomeo and Juliet, really cute movie.

    Sleeping Beauty - 2011.

A very strange movie based on a novel. This film was directed by the actual author. I found elements of it disturbing. Very weird.

Plot from IMDB: 'A haunting portrait of Lucy, a young university student drawn into a mysterious hidden world of unspoken desires.'

Click on title for IMDB page.

Horrible Bosses. He's never been attractive to me before but Justin Bateman might have to go on my laminated list. Damn.

The movie was a bit too raunchy for my taste in parts but, as a whole, it was fairly hilarious. Kevin Spacey was an awesome asshole. A few people were ticked Colin F didn't have more screen time but I'm not sure I could have handled his character in bigger doses. Aniston was Rachel version 6? 7? (what are we up to). The smoking is really catching up to her. The out-takes cracked me up.

^^We watched Horrible Bosses last night too! Didn't care for Aniston's character. Thought she was too much.

I watched Horrible Bosses over the weekend, too. It was okay,..parts were funny, but Jennifer's character, either. It felt like she was trying to hard and saying anything and everything to show how sexy she is,...whatever.

I also watched The Tree of Life, with Brad Pitt. I didn't really care for how the movie was setup. Half of the nature shit in it made no sense to me, or to the plot itself. Maybe I didn't get it, or I just don't understand the independant movie genre,...but I thought it sucked. I read this morning that Brad Pitt helped produce it, and he says he will be leaving acting in three years to do producing full time. I hope he makes some better choices than that attempt.

And then my youngest watched Zookeeper. It was okay for kids movie/comedy movie. I like the gal that played Kate, Rosario Dawson. I think she is just gorgeous!

Finally got around to seeing Party Monster. Not bad, fairly disturbing. I'd already read a book about the whole scene and the murder, etc. I have to say, Seth Green was fucking fantastic in his role, and I usually can't stand him. Macauley Culkin, however, I didn't really buy. He wasn't totally awful, but his manner of speaking seemed too silly and artificial, it took me out of the movie somewhat. I just didn't like his look either, not his fault, but he can't ever shake that Home Alone face.

Puss n Boots. Had Veteran's Day off and saw it with the kids. Was dreading it, but it was actually pretty good. Zach Galifianikis (sp) was Humpty Dumpty. And my beloved Amy Sedaris was the evil Jill.

    "knowing".
way better than i expected, i actually really liked it. i like how it played with science and religion. it's not your typical tom cruise/will smith "end of the world"-movie.

    Captain America

Didn't know anything about the comic. It was a very nice introduction movie. Decent acting, effects and story. And my, Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, yes please! I am starting to see what Amanda Seyfried saw in him.

All of that director's stuff is kinda out there. It's meditative/reflective navelgazing dreamstate stuff that's pretty open to interpretation.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Predictably, I cried and blubbered all over myself.

^ Loved that movie too. Even the cheesetastick ending was right on par with how JR wrote the epilogue.

Deathly Hallows Part 2 was one of the best movies to watch on a movie screen that I have seen in a long time. Fantastic.

"red state": it's supposed to be a horror movie, but it's not. it's about crazy fundie christians (which is probably supposed to be the horror element), but it's not scary at all.

"kaboom": too weird and crazy to describe (in a donnie darko-way). i only watched it because thomas dekker is hot, and had no idea what i was getting myself into.
