The Help: Viola Davis carried this film. I get why people have issues with this movie, but she makes it better than it is. I could feel Abileen's world-weariness. Octavia Spencer reminded me of Sherri Shepard, and not in a good way.
Contagion: Not Soderbergh's best; sorta like Traffic with surgical masks, but not as interesting.
Crazy Stupid Love: Love this movie. Somewhat uneven at times (especially the scenes w/Marisa Tomei as the disgruntled one-night stand), but I get why Ryan Gosling has such appeal.

The Descent 2. Probably even better than The Descent.

We watched Hanna, Law Abiding Citizen and the Company Men. All of them were pretty good.

I am starting to like Ben Afleck more than I have in the past. I never thought he was good looking until a year or so ago. I do have to laugh how every movie of his has his beloved ball team somewhere in the movie. He is a die hard fan for sure!

I enjoyed Hanna, but wanted something else with the ending. Not sure what,...but it felt like the story wasn't completed to me. That girl is a good little actress.

Law Abiding Citizen was a movie that kept me on the edge of my seat,...but the ending was unrealistic to me. I had never watched this in the past due to my Jamie Foxx hate. Glad I gave it a try.

X-Men: First Class - liked it a lot. Perfect Friday night movie. Wow, I can see what the hype around Michael Fassbender is about. He stole the movie. Not that it was a master class in acting or anything but he really stood out.

And speaking of which, good God, January Jones is a terrible actress.

Easy A. It was okay. Really funny at first, then it started to take itself too seriously. I felt like it had the potential to be a lot funnier than it was.

^ What was your impression of it, apart from the yawn-y smiley? I heard it was supposed to be the "scariest movie EVAH!!!1!1" but I've also heard the ending is kind of lame. Is it worth watching? Also, is it terribly bloody?

There was no blood. It isn't a gory movie at all. It is supposed to be scary, but I didn't find it so. I thought it was kind of boring and I kept falling asleep. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to seeing it. Too bad I didn't think it was anything special.

I see you are in Canada (me too), so I will add that it premiered on TMN last night. They'll probably be repeating it now with increasing regularity, so you should be able to catch it fairly soon.
