^^Actually, on a small screen, with lots of beer and low expectations, it might be good.

Rented Hanna last night. Loved it. Saoirse Ronan completely carried it. For the first time, I thought Cate Blanchett wasn't so good. Man, she cannot do a southern accent!

I rented Hanna too. While I thought Saoirse Ronan is extremely talented, the movie was disappointing. Saoirse's stunt work was entertaining. It was flashy but the story kind of meandered off. It didn't have a lot of bite. It was okay for a rental but I was expecting a lot more. Cate Blanchett's accent was terrible. They should have eliminated that altogether.

^^Yeah, I didn't really get the point of her having an accent. I mean, she was supposed to be CIA but why did that have to involve a terrible southern accent? I'm sure she could've done something else just fine, or even stuck with her normal voice and no one would've questioned it.

One Day. Anne Hathaway's accent was all over the place but she and her male co-star Jim Sturgess were in almost every scene so they worked hard. It was sad but enjoyable although I haven't read the book yet.

Watched Paul over the weekend. Parts were funny, but I guess I expected something more out of it.

    Basquiat

a fairly interesting biopic about famous artist Jean-Michel Basquiat starring Jeffrey Wright

I thought it was alright but coulda been much better but unfortauntely director Julian Schnabel decided to interject himself into the movie too much

even though he knew Basquiat it was just tacky

also David Bowie did a decent job playing Andy Warhol who was friends with Basquiat

Stay with Ewan McGregor, Naomi Watts, and Ryan Gosling. This was my second time watching it, I loved it. I'd highly recommend it if you like mindfuck movies that don't tie everything up into neat little boxes. Beautiful cinematography, very very eerie atmosphere. I think it was marketed as more of a scary thriller type of film, which it's not, but there's a definite sense of uneasiness throughout the whole thing, like you never know quite what's going on. No gore or violence at all, I think it would have been pg-13 if not for a "fuck" or two.

Is there a list of actor rankings somewhere? Like in pro tennis?

Okay,...Your Highness really sucked!! I think I only laughed once or twice. Natalie Portman looked good in it though. And that James Franco sucks as an actor. He just seems like a dirty burnout, and could be Johnny Depp's younger brother. But at least Johnny can act.

    Party Monster

I liked it and thought Macaulay Culkin did a fairly decent job as Michael Alig

Warrior - A must see! Nick Notle, Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton are fantastic in their roles. A nice balance of drama and action. Tom is so delicious...those lips...yummy.
