X-Men: First Class-- Michael Fassbender is delicious...
When you came in the air went out. And every shadow filled up with doubt. I don't know who you think you are, But before the night is through,I wanna do bad things with you.

A Home at the End of the World. Colin Farrell was just incredible. Story was good, but I haven't read the book so I don't know how close it is.

    The Longshot

kind of a goofy fun movie with Tim Conway, Harvey Korman, Jack Weston, Ted Wass and Anne Meara

Four losers borrow money from gangsters to bet on a "sure thing", but lose. The gangsters go after them to get their money.

    Sigh...yes, yes he is.

My husband's niece has been coming over every week to watch movies. She's asked to go through the XMen series with us. Watched Wolverine for the 4th or 5th time. I didn't like it as much this last time. We watched the first XMen last night. Somehow I missed how cheesetastic is was the first few times. There's something about watching an old favorite with a first time viewer that makes you see everything in a new light.

We watched Raiders of the Lost Ark with her too. As a kid, that movie seemed like nonstop action. I was surprised at how slowly it moved in some parts. Still love that movie.

^ those parts are the "story", something sadly lacking in today's movies for amped up teenagers with no attention span.

So make fun of me for being uncool, but....

Bummed that I have to work tomorrow and can't go see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 early.

If I hadn't been out of work for my damned neck half of last week I'd have taken tomorrow off!

I've watched Going the Distance with Drew Barrymore and Justin Long TWICE in the last week. I think it's hilarious!

I am going either tonight or tomorrow. My son isn't nearly as excited as I am. I am pretty sure I will be a sobbing fool at the end. Everytime I think of my Potter kids growing up and going away, I get a little weepy

"American Beauty"... seen it dozen of times but this time I watched it with the audio commentary from Sam Mendes and Alan Ball.. it was awesome hearing them describe the little details of the film like the lighting and the framing of the shots and the repeated cinematic motifs throughout the film.
