Anyone watching the mini-series of Mildred Pierce with Kate Winslet in Joan's old role?
I watched Part I & II and kate's Mildred is a bit of a whore so far ... but of course, with this movie, Veda is the one you really want to punch in the mouth. Evan Rachel Wood will be playing the grownup Veda...

    SAW 7

I was REALLY excited about the finale, but it was just good.

I've seen the first three. I have heard mention of a couple more, but I've never seen any of the later ones air on our movie channels. Of course, Canadian Netflix only has one, two and three. Oy.

"Tangled" I'm not really into any of these "cutesy" animated movies...so I wasn't expecting to like it at all...but I watched it tonight with my bf's kids and I loved it! It was such a good movie! Definitely entertaining for children and adults! I laughed, I chuckled, I got teary eyed during some moments...and it totally brought warmth to my normally icy, cold veins... I seriously couldn't stop grinning for at least 10 minutes after it ended. A very entertaining, funny, fast paced, feel good movie! I was impressed, and it takes a lot to impress me...especially with cartoons/computer animated movies today.

"Due Date" A couple of nights ago. DEFINITELY overrated and overly-hyped, IMHO. The commercials (which most are) were very misleading. It looked hilarious but I didn't like it. I laughed MAYBE once. To be fair, it had it's few moments, not enough for me to give it a thumbs up though...sad to say, because I LOVE both Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis...

Edit: I hope Zach takes on different types of roles...his character in "due date" reminded me a lot of his "the hangover" character, only slightly more annoying (to the point where I wanted to punch him in the face and freak out on him like RDJ did in the movie) whereas his character in the hangover was a goofy, awkward, creepy at times, yet loveable man-child. If he continues like this he's in danger of being type-cast.

Due Date sucked ass. I was so disappointed in it.

A couple days ago I was really in the mood for a Lifetime movie starring Tori Spelling, so I turned on LMN and BOOM, Tori Spelling in some movie about a psycho friend trying to steal her husband and baby.

I just thought exact same thing. I think I've seen up to 3.

He sort of plays the same type of character on the HBO series Bored to Death with Jason Schwartzman and Ted Danson. So far it seems that is his type. I would like to see if he can do more.

I watched Little Fockers last night. It was cute and funny!

Sex and the City 2 - It was okay. I wasn't expecting much, so I wasn't terribly disappointed that I didn't get much.

Kissing Jessica Stein (on Netflix) - This is one of my all-time favourite movies! Love, love, love it and I am so incredibly happy to finally find it again. Smart and funny with a realistic ending.

Darn. I really wanted to see Due Date.

And why would someone want to see something with Tori Spelling? Is she a good actress?

She's so-so. It's having to suffer with the fug for two hours that's a bit hard to take.

Hanna - a strange tale about a german ubermensche child raised to be an assassin in the wilderness. Cate Blanchett is in it, with a very unconvincing fake southern accent. Overall, kind of neat, kind of an indie feel. It's like.. Hit-Girl from Kick-ass meets the style of 28 Days Later.

Salt - good action flick. Angie is horribly skinny in this though.

In Dreams - an old psychothriller with Annette Benning and RDJ. Fairly decent, not worth rushing out to get though. RDJ plays a crazed serial killer.

RED - All kinds of FUN and awesome. I am madly in lust with Dame Helen Mirren.

You liked Salt? Most of us couldnt get over how thin Angie was and why she didnt break in half when she tried to fight people much less do any of the stunts. It was almost as if she tried to make a Bourne Identity and failed horribly. Then again, I did read Tom Cruise was originally supposed to have the roll so that makes more sense.

Red, Ive been wanting to see that for a real long time now.
