Russell Crowe's Robin Hood. It was so awful, I turned it off half way through.

^^Damn I guess I was the only person that liked that movie.

The Machinist. Man it was hard looking at Christian Bale's skeleton but I did like the movie.

Shutter Island was so frustrating. After I saw it, I read this (damn you, Scorsese):

So why all the mystery? Why weren't things just made a little bit clearer? Perhaps we can guess. According to Gilligan, "Martin Scorsese said this film will make double the income because people will have to see it a second time to understand what happened the first time."

I can kind of see that. It would be interesting to go back and rewatch it from a different perspective. It would be a totally different movie.

the switch: i cried at the end. there is hope and love for all the lost manboys. not brilliant, and yes, aniston plays herself again (so do juliette lewis and jeff goldblum), but sweet. bateman plays a character many will identify with.

Battle: Los Angeles is a shameless recruitment ad for the u.s. marines that goes on and on and on. boring and cliche. message: war is ugly but necessary. you will die, but you will be remembered as a great hero by your fellow troops until they die ten minutes later.

The Adjustment Bureau. It was really good. Anthony Mackie is a hottie.

I spit on your grave - the remake. Definitely not for the squeamish. I even had trouble on a couple of the scenes, however the revenge ending is worth it.

I watched The Social Network and Conviction over the weekend. Both were pretty good.

What is everyone's take on the Social Network? Does anyone else think Mark heard the idea from the guys at Harvard and then ran with it on his own? Kind of seems like he took the idea and beat them to the punch. I don't think this was a factual movie of the events,...I am assuming it is the directors view on the events that happened from many sources. ?

Conviction was a good story. Sad to know, and hard to believe that there are hundreds, even thousands, of people every year that are wrongly convicted of crimes. The movie really reminds you how easily you can lose years, and even decades, of your life in a heartbeat.

Loser with Mena Suvari, Greg Kinnear and Jason Biggs. Surprisingly good until I realized that it lifted its plotline from Billy Wilder's classic, The Apartment.

Five Days One Summer with Sean Connery and Lambert Wilson. Can't remember the female lead's name, but she looked very much like a young Ingrid Bergman. Bittersweet tale about marital infidelity with the Swiss Alps in the background. Fred Zinnemann's last movie. Pretty much a beautifully mounted nothing, but Sean Connery and Lambert Wilson were both hot in their own ways.

Disturbing Behavior [1998]- When Katie Holmes used to be almost cute. Ugh, those Joey Potter days.

^I watched this movie again this weekend, and I love it. The irony of the movie about being brainwashed and Katie being in it is awsome.
