It was but really the only thing about the 80's you get is the music, clothes and hair. The storyline could have been set in anytime really.

Sorry for the late response, this thread moves so quickly! Anywho, I'm Still Here was a good funny...I personally enjoyed watching a fucked up Joaquin trying to rap!

I'm going to have to find that for my mum. She loves anything that involves mutant beasties going beserk and eating people.

Last film I watched was I Walked With a Zombie (1943). I Walked with a Zombie - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I've seen it before but still enjoyed it.

Don't bother watching it unless you are really, really bored and want to be bored some more. I kept waiting for something to happen and it never did. It wasn't even good enough to take the piss out off.

    Inception
Amazing movie but towards the end I got lost. Is the ending really as depressing as I thought it was?

    SPOILER BEGIN-----------------------------
Cobb said earlier in the movie that the spinning top thing he carried around stopped in reality and thats how they could tell they were dreaming. In a dream it would keep spinning. However at the end when he got his kids back, not only was it revealed he aged all that time despite still looking very young but also the camera faded out on that top spinning. Am I to take it that hes still dreaming and he didnt get his kids after all?

    SPOILER END -------------------------------

If thats the real ending then thats just sad.

^ That's pretty much what I gathered from the ending! It was sad.

Chloe: Not that impressive. I couldn't buy sweet lil' Amanda Seyfried as an exotic temptress.

Hall Pass: Typical Farrelly Brother's stuff. (They still haven't done anything better than There's Something About Mary in my book and Matt Dillon's character was the only reason it was good. )

Funny, entertaining, some dull parts. Owen Wilson playing the same character as usual.

The ending is left ambiguous on purpose, so you never know.

The Human Centipede. Yes, it was pretty gross and disturbing, but it wasn't that bad really. It could have been a lot more graphic.

^I hated the Human Centipede. It left me feeling like I've lost 2 hours of my life that I'll never get again. The only movie that left me more bothered is Terror Firmer, which has gone down in my book as the worst movie ever made, and not in a good bad kind of way.

The Social Network. I was actually pretty impressed with it. Thank God Justin Timberfake didn't make an appearance until about half way through...I hate him.

I know Jesse Eisenberg got all the attention (obviously, he's the star) but I thought Andrew Garfield's performance blew him out of the water. Can't wait to see how he does as the new Spidey! This guy is definitely on my radar now.

I just stumbled across this looking for wallpapers from the movie. The ending they hint at is also the one that my friend hinted at as well since, honestly, no one knows what happened after the credits.

I can';t remember the last movie that had an ambiguous ending.. hollywood has been forever forcefeeding us conclusive happy bullshit endings for decades.

Speaking of ambiguous endings, I just saw Shutter Island. It's a bit of a freaky movie really. The idea that the mind can be so fragile was the most frightening of all the themes.

A fan of ambiguous endings here. American Psycho had a nice one.
