The Devils Rejects. Again. Love, love, love this movie.

Ron Burgandy The Anchor Man. No matter how many times I watch it, it still cracks me up.

The Tin Drum (1979) - IMDb

I've been wanting to see it again, and was lucky enough to catch it last night. Weird, funny, and sometimes disturbing. The eel scene was just as disgusting as I remembered. Fantastic movie!

    The Shortcut (2009) - IMDb

Well it was kind of hokey, but I enjoyed it. There were a couple of good twists, it had it's moments. Somewhat fun if you like corny horror flicks and aren't expecting too much.

    Vacancy (2007) - IMDb

It involves a creepy old motel and snuff films. Even though it was the cut t.v. version I absolutely loved it! Luke Wilson and Kate Beckinsale did a good job, they weren't as stupid as most leading characters tend to be in this type of horror/suspense film.

Love and Other Drugs. It was AWFUL. We had free tickets, thank God, I would be pissed if I had forked out to see this shit! At first it was weird seeing Jakey playing a ladies man but he was alright. It was just a horrible film.

    Goin' South (1978)

Romantic comedy set in the Wild West with Jack Nicholson and a very young and lovely Mary Steenburgen.

It was a bit uneven. Not funny enough for all out comedy. Not really romantic enough for romance though the leads were great. Not enough action even though there were hints of it. And Jack Nicholson directs basically by jerking the camera a lot. He is a great actor but a rather lousy director. At least in his other effort I remember, The Two Jakes he was just invisible as a director which works much better.

Didn't hate it but wouldn't recommend it. It definitely wasn't as good as I remembered it.

My daughter and I loved this movie. They made a prequel that wasn't half as good, but that's pretty much a given the second time around.

Black Swan. Creepy and disturbing but a very good movie.

Watched my Penn & Teller Bullshit! downloads on my computer, so I could delete them and have more space on my external HD.

The Other Guys. What a disappointment!! I think Will Ferrell needs to hang it up. His movies just aren't funny anymore. I liked looking at Mark in the movie, but he seemed to scream all his lines. I guess he thought it would be funnier if he yelled them.

I watched The Color Purple again. All it did was confirm the fact that Spielberg pretty much emasculated the novel to make a mainstream film, that Whoopi was awesome as Miss Celie and Oprah is an extremely one-note actress. She has played the same part in all her movies, with this atrocious Southern black patois that is supposed to pass for an accent. She wasn't bad as Sophia, but she's always fuckin' Sophia in EVERYTHING!!
