if you plan to watch it i'd recommend not watching the trailer or reading anything about it beforehand.
Can someone tell me what happened at the end, cause I don't plan to see it. After they got put together, then what? Did they die or just end up the doctor's pet centipede?

I probably said this, at least once in this forum, if not more, but I have NEVER seen that movie. And honestly, I never want to. Why? Not sure exactly. A mixed bag of reasons...but now that I have youngish kids, wondering if I should rethink that stance??? Think they might like it?

^Me either, but I have never watched it because of my extreme aversion to musicals. My inlaws are from NY so they love all of the broadway and musical shows and can't understand why I loathe them. Even the singing parts in Charlie Brown or any show I hate.

my daughter has always hated that movie, so I'm not the best one to ask. And I love old movies and musicals.

Hey I'm from NY and I hate musicals*. Some of us have taste

Have been on a movie kick the last two weeks:

    1) Black Swan - dark and intense. Fucked up but it was very, very good. For all the buzz Mila Kunis has gotten, I thought she'd be in more scenes.

    2) The King's Speech - loved it. More than Black Swan actually. I've always had a mad crush on Colin Firth, but was concerned that the movie would be too slow (I get bored easily with films). Surprisingly not at all. Impeccable acting by Colin, Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush. And for all the Jane Austen geeks, the actress who plays the wife of Geoffrey Rush's character played Elizabeth Bennett in the BBC Pride and Prejudice (opposite Colin Firth)

    3) Salt - watched it because my 17 yr old male cousin got it for Xmas. It wasn't terrible, but I would've been annoyed having paid good money to see it in theaters. Definitely unbelievable, even for an action flick. I remember hearing that it was originally written for a male character; they should've kept it that way. Also, Angelina looks terrible as a blonde and maybe I'd find her more believable as a kick ass spy if she wasn't so frail looking.

Watched Freedom Writers recently. Thought it was pretty good, a friend loaned it to me and I'm thinking it was a word of encouragement for me to take the plunge into teaching.
Don't worry about what other people think. They don't do it very often.

Grown Ups- A few laughs but cheesy for the most part...

    Human Centipede- WHY
The horrible acting gave me a few laughs though.

I just saw True Grit and loved it. Best movie of the year.

I've never been impressed with Matt Damon, but he was outstanding in this. Also, he's not getting much attention but Barry Pepper (who ironically played Ned Pepper) was AMAZING.

The Ghost Writer. Fantastic, snappy dialogue, slick production, wonderful, probably among the best of the year. Or decade, even.
