I saw 'Clueless' on TV earlier today. Still full of laugh and 90s goodness, but damn it made me sad that Brittany Murphy's not around anymore.

Apocalypse Now (director's cut) - kind of a landmark for me. I saw it in parts as a little girl with my parents (!!). My father, who was in the army, got excited whenever there were any scenes of violence, that is often. So I was a little biased.

I cried twice : puppy scene (I'm not sure it was in the commercial version) and Clean's death while we hear his mother's videotaped letter to him. I think the director's cut was unecessary, especially the French plantation scene, totally out of place. Denis Hopper's character, although he was in the original, too, for that matter. Overall, a great film, and one that doesn't glorify violence (unlike what my crazy father thought, sorry, bad childhood memories...)

i remember i went to see the director's cut at the cinema when it first came out.
it's such an awesome film and the redux version didn't improve on the original in any way (except visually - they used new dye-transfer technicolor prints and the results are incredible) but it did add some interesting dimensions.
the plantation scene is weird, i agree, and though not technically necessary to the story, it adds an interesting dimension to the story and it's visually so beautiful and stunning that i enjoyed it nevertheless. the only part i think coppola should have left out of the new edition is the playmate sequence.

I loved that film, too. I know other people hate it, but I just loved the atmospheric look and the soundtrack, and I loved Kinski's short haircut - even more than when she has her hair long.

I saw Salt and The Other Guys yesterday. Enjoyed both, Salt was terribly predictable and Angelina Jolie looked ridiculously skinny, but Leiv Schreiber was incredibly hot. Other Guys has some really funny parts and some really silly parts, I liked it more than Salt. I pretty much love anything with Will Ferrell or Dwayne Johnson though

Virus ... alien robots on a deserted Russian research ship who attempt to kill the salvage team that comes aboard. I think Donald Sutherland was actually drunk through the entire thing. This movie was almost as funny as the episode of Two and a Half Men that I watched beforehand!

The Town...pretty good, kept me entertained. Ben seems to really shine when he's behind the camera hopefully he stays with it. I never cared for him as an actor, but he was pretty good here too. I don't know if its cuz he was more comfortable in his familiar environment but he was good. Renner was bad ass, so was the Florist. People are comparing it to Heat on rotten tomatoes, weird cuz thats the exact movie I was thinking of while watching it. Not so much that its better or worse, just the actual cinematography and gritty feel through out the film. Anyhoo, hope I reviewed it right and didn't spoil anything for you guys

Our friend Lolijume's moment of glory, Hairspray (1988 version)!!! I caught lots of glimpses of her big, platinum blond head!

The film itself was my entry into John Waters territory. Felt it was all over the place: campy, political, cheesy... the acting was so-so.

I want to see The Town next.

I saw Salt too and enjoyed all the crazy stunts and the plot twists. I don't care if it made too much sense. It was kick ass entertainment.

Eyes of Laura Mars - my first giallo... Good thing I could enjoy the fashion, because it was awful! Badly-acted and made no sense. I was cringing all the time. And I knew who the murderer was right away and Laura would sleep with him. (oops, spoiler)

    Fatal Attraction

I have lost count of how many times I've seen this movie, but I never get tired of it. I love every single minute.
