So I'm back from seeing The Town. It was very good. Ben Affleck was great as both actor and director. John Hamm was good too, but I think Ben was even better.

It's violent but of course it's rated R so no surprise there.

Saw Devil last night. It was ok - it was one of those things that easily could have been a TV movie, though.

City Island. Starring Andy Garcia and Julianna (major trout pout lips) Margulies. She was actually wonderful as was Andy in this movie. I laughed all the way through it. I will rent it again, I loved it that much.

Meryl doesn't even try anymore. She just calls Lanvin and asks for curtains with a belt.~Bitter
Can we interest you in Leann Rimes? She has a nice little cadre of fans you'd probably enjoy.~ Pecan Pie

I watched Repo Men again with Jude Law and Forest Whitaker. It does not hold up well on second viewing, but the soundtrack is still the best I've heard in years.

I can't wait to see Catfish and Jack Goes Boating. Friends in NYC saw both this weekend and said they were very good but in very limited release right now.

Wait Until Dark- I've seen it before, it still holds up (although the clothes are dated). Good suspense film.

I always laugh when Richard Crenna gets shanked - I don't know why.

Cat People - some bullshit from 1982 that made no sense, got bored, turned it off. Nastasha Kinski be damned.

Christine - John Carpenter's decent adaptation of the Stephen King book about a murderous 1957 chevy and the nerd that lovingly restores and is possessed by it. It's one of his more decent films (came out a year after his superior and genuinely scary The Thing) and he did a surprisingly good job of making a car have a personality and be threatening.

I have Cat People at home (the 80s version, there was a 40s version). Nastassja's hot!

I didn't. I found it uneven and rather disjointed and dull.
