    Ju-On

It's the Japanese version of The Grudge and way more creepy than the American one.

the big lebowski. a friend of mine had never seen it and we couldn't believe it so we made her watch it.
i think it's one of my 3 favourite movies and this must have been the 20th time i watched it and i just love it more every time.

    two days ago i watched:

"up": amazing movie, but i cried for about 2/3 of it. one of the saddest movies i've ever seen. not really a kids-movie.

and "zodiac": it was actually a great movie but waaay too long and it was basically 3 hours for nothing.

yesterday i watched "the godfather" for the first time. i really liked it.

Ride with the Devil - directed by Ang Lee. Little known movie that went right to DVD. Tobey McGuire, Jewel, Jonathan Reyes Meyer... and a lot of other folks. Takes place after the Civil war, a bunch of ticked off Rebs call themselves the bushwackers and go after anyone who isn't from the south. Rape pillage loot and all that stuff.

Sub plot with Tobey and Jewel is OK. The rest? At a time when most of the south didn't have squat they managed to have fat horses and look pretty fit and hardy. I love Tobey McGuire but this wasn't one of his best. Made in 1999.

I just saw "Up" a couple of days ago. I think I cried thru out the entire movie. My kids said it was depressing. You're right, not really for kids.

"Signs" with Mel 'smile and blow me' Gibson. I really enjoyed it--lots of suspense and pretty good acting.

^^I just watched Up again (seen it many times actually) and I cry EVERY time. I always feel like such a retard afterwards, but cannot help it. It's very touching!

I thought Up was dreadful. Shmaltzy, and didn't go anywhere. The overuse of the dog annoyed me.. the villain was one dimensional, his minion was a sketch.. the entire thing felt incredibly unbalanced.

    Drag Me To Hell

Awful movie with even worst acting.

Black Cloud. Should have known it would suck as it was written and directed by Ricky Schroeder, who also played one of the main characters.

I think we are the only people on earth who disliked this mess of a movie.

I guess you either love or hate Sam Raimi. I love his movies and his crazy sense of humor--the Evil Dead movies are some of my all time favorites. I thought DMTH was a return to pure Raimi.
