Just finished renting Date Night. I like Fey and Carell a lot; there is something strangely appealing about Carell, don't quite know what it is, but I like him.

The Party. terrible movie. It symbolises everything that's bad about the 60s... And I LOVE the 60s!

Shrek 4, in 3D. I enjoyed the visuals, didn't find it hillarious and not gonna own it on DVD. It's too complex for kids and not loaded with verbal jokes for the adults.

Kill Bill 1 and 2 on DVD with my movie tragic son on DVD. We still can't decide which one is best as both are brilliant. I think I'd probably pick KB2 if I had to choose if only for the music in the final credits.

The Fortune (1975), DVD - again. Obscure, much underrated, hysterical
comedy starring Jack Nicholson, Warren Beatty and Stockard Channing
in her big screen debut. Directed by Mike Nichols and written by Carole
Eastman - who also wrote Five Easy Pieces.
Shot the same year as "Shampoo", the studio wanted to put it out as THE
main Beatty vehicle for that year. They only agreed to put out "Shampoo"
as a B-choice, because the studio heads thought "The Fortune" would do
better at the box office. In the end, "Shampoo" became a huge hit and
"The Fortune" disappointed as far as gross intake was concerned.

Real life best buddies Nicholson/Beatty really ham it up, and are having
a ball doing it, as two totally incompetent schemers trying to get their
hands on the fortune of heiress Stockard Channing (who sings the movie's
    opening tune).

I almost watched this movie the other night, then I read about how bad it was on IMDB, and didn't bother.

Dim Sum Funeral - Estranged Chinese siblings return to their childhood home to pay tribute to their dead mother. They all had problems with her, but they honor her last wish: to be buried in a traditional Chinese...

I'd watch it again. It was sort of campy at the end but it didn't stop the boo hooing and it had a really nice message.

Hannah and her Sisters. Really, really brilliant film, which I look forward to viewing again (I have it at home). I just ordered Annie Hall, btw. Not sure if I'll like Manhattan one day, though

This movie made me fall in love with Dianne Wiest - I think that she's wonderful.

I LOVE Dianne Wiest in The Birdcage and The Lost Boys.

We tried to watch The Host, turned it off after half an hour. It got super reviews, no idea why.
Then, The Awakening, Charlton Heston. Cheesy, cheesy movie. Sat though 20 mins.

Bought Cry Baby (with Johnny Depp) at Walmart today for 5 bucks. I LOVE that movie. The music is corny and cheesy and awesome!
