The 40-year old Virgin. Steve Carell, beneath all the goofiness and mugging, is not a bad-looking guy.

    ^I liked it too.

    Fame [the remake]

Just as boring as the original. I don't know why they bothered.
Sorry... Basically, I meant to say that most movies, if an animal is the main character, it doesn't seem to end well...

    The Devils Advocate...

Have seen it many times, but love story, and actually think that Keanu looks decent in this movie.

The no animal thing has been my rule since I was a kid and was forced to watch Where the Red Ferns Grow. I sobbed for hours and swore I'd never watch another movie staring an animal.

Well, appropriately enough I finally saw Marley & Me. I know she has a lot of haters, but I really like Jen Aniston. Openly wept for the last half hour, and I'm a CAT person

He's just not that into you...
I liked the movie, especially the vignettes. What the actress's name, the one who looks like or reminds you of Sally Field?

    Ok... This weekend I watched:

Hedwig and the Angry Inch - the only "musical" movie I really enjoy because the acting is good, the music is good enough to listen in your car, and the humor is cutting. Definite recommend.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - Hadn't seen it before.. it was good to see Jim Carrey not being a spastic in a quirky movie by Michel Gondry. Some of the visuals were really interesting, and that chubby girl from Titanic pulled off her character really well.

Showgirls - What can be said about this amazing, ridiculous trainwreck of a movie? Every time i watch it, i notice something new and stupid, be it dialogue or background happenings. The courageous story of a Vegas stripper who reached for the stars to become a Vegas topless dancer!

Deathrace2000 (70's version).. um, wow. Kind of lame, yet had that ridiculous patina of 70's nihilistic dystopian "futurism" where everybody wore stupid costumes and drove ridiculous cars for sport. It's also fun that the year 2000 looked like the year 1976 in front of a matte painting borrowed from the old star trek series.

Alan Quartermain and the Lost City of Gold - put big homo Richard Chamberlain in an INdiana Jones outfit, saddle him with a perky and dimwitted Sharon Stone and stuff him in the middle of Zimbabwe with cheap sets, rubber monsters and bad dialogue and you've got this film. Also starring some white guy impersonating an east indian and doing a really racist job of it. The city of gold, staffed by a "lost white race", seems something the nazis would have dreamt up. It gave me an icky feeling throughout. Also, the fucking adventurous theme music WOULD NOT STOP.

    calm yourself. i didn't realize.

anyways, I enjoyed it, but it wasn't as good as the previews made it out to be, in my opinion.

    I would give it a 6/10.

I loved Showgirls. Berkley takes overacting to a whole new level.
