    The River Wild

Meryl Streep and Kevin Bacon, what more could you want in a movie?

The Name of the Rose. Good overall, but what irked me is the reference to suicide, when the word hadn't even been invented yet.

You know, I'm not sure how they filmed it but it looked really cool.

I know everybody loves this movie and everything, but I was really disappointed when I first saw it, the end really didn't meet my expectations

I liked it! OK, so it went to the "dollar movie" pretty quick, but it's smart, humor, ala Judd Apatow style. Jonah Hill is a gem, his understated style wins me over and makes me laugh everytime. Russell Brand was ok, always obnoxious, but they're a good combo.
My fiance just kept saying "that guy has such a womanly figure..."

    The A-Team

The only thing that kept me awake during this one was the character "Murdock", played by Sharlto Copley (District 9), his part only adds up to about 15 minutes of screen time, but he's hilarious. I never watched the show when it was on TV, and the characters were so stupid in the movie....got sick of hearing about "the plan". Fiance loved it, full of action and guy stuff...

....obviously we've been hitting the "dollar movies" Netflix, and Redbox quite a bit lately...

City Island. Andy Garcia wrote it and starred in it. It's about a dysfunctional Italian family. So clever, so funny. It's an indie film and they always seem to be 10x better than blockbusters.

Something the Lord Made - The true story of two medical pioneers -- one celebrated, one overlooked -- is brought to life in this made-for-cable drama. Alfred Blalock (Alan Rickman) is chief surgeon at Johns Hopkins University, where he is pioneering new techniques in heart surgery along with Vivien Thomas (Mos Def) a carpenter hired to work at the University.

Alan seemed to chew up the scenery but still it was worth watching - when they saved the little girl I cried...... I also cried over all the dogs they killed to get to that point but hey thats just me. Good movie.

Brooklyn's Finest. It had Ethan Hawke, Wesley Snipes, Don Cheadle, Richard Gere in it. It was a complete waste of 2 hours. Each person had a different story, which tied together at the end of the movie.(which was really the only good part of the movie)

Even Don Cheadle couldn't save this movie. Ethan Hawke was a complete overactor.

Precious- I'm usually disappointed in films that get hyped, but it was good. Not great, but good.

Sleepless in Seattle - Meg and Tom hook up at the end. I love this movie, my favorite guilty pleasures.

Last Chance Harvey - good chance I'll never watch it again. Complete waste of Emma Thompson and Dustin Hoffman is taking anything they offer him these days. Why do they always hook her up with men so much older than she is?

Due Date & Dinner for Schmucks - both actually really funny (Due Date more so). Neither will be an Oscar contender but not every movie has to be! They do what they set out to do...make you laugh. A lot.

    Thanks for that^^.
Fiance wanted to rent it yesterday, and I used your summary to get out of it.

Doubt with Meryl Streep and Amy Adams.

I am constantly amazed at how good Streep is with voices. Whenever I watch her in a movie, I seldom ever think of her as herself. She is always the character and she does such a great job of it! I had just seen these two actresses in Julie and Julia and it didn't even occur to me until about halfway through the movie.
