I never liked Princess Bride. It was like that movie "Clue". Everybody raves about how funny they are, and they both put me to sleep.

    The Libertine with Johnny Depp.

I liked the way it started off, then after about two minutes it got all Moll Flanderish on me, only not as good.

I wouldn't watch it again and probably shouldn't have watched it this time but I thought I'd give Depp another chance to entertain me.

A film critic I respect and who is very hard to please gave The Last Song 5 stars, so I was too curious not to see it. Turns out he's getting old or it was an April Fool's prank.

Miley cannot act (big surprise) and damn is she hideous without makeup. I couldn't take my eyes off her veneers and how much trouble she has speaking with them. Don't see this if you have problems with her mouth; I promise you'll hate it. It's a sad movie, and there's 12 billion others exactly like it, but the characters aren't moving and the acting is abysmal, so it's not as touching as it could have been. The guy who wrote the screenplay for The Notebook, Dear John, and Nights in Rodanthe (HATED that) wrote this, so it's one of those movies.

^^ but the notebook is just amazing. it's one of my favorite movies.

i watched "the box" yesterday. good god. i didn't know this was from the same guy who did "donnie darko", so i wasn't prepared. this is not a horror movie, it's a weird sci-fi movie. the story itself is pretty good, though.

    Orphan

I thought from the previews that this movie would be creepier than it actually was. IMDB has it listed as Drama/Horror/Thriller. I didn't find it the least bit scary. Even as a thriller, it's a bit lacking; however, it did keep me watching, and there was a twist near the end that I did NOT see coming. Overall, not a bad movie.

I thought he just wrote the books, not the screenplay. Thanks for the warning though-I have a lot of probs with her mouth

I saw Brooklyns finest with Don Cheadle. Good movie.

Spartacus. Quite disappoiting. Didn't see too much of Kubrick in it.

It's all worth it to hear Debra Paget sing "Death Cometh to Me" on that stupid harp.

Checked out Sherlock Holmes. Much better than I thought it would be. Actually, I really enjoyed it. Robert Downey Jr. & Jude Law played off of one another really well. Great chemistry & comic timing.

Believe it or not, Dangerous Liaisons!! Has been a favorite book for years, but until last week I'd never watched the movie. Glenn Close, John Malkovich, Michelle Pfeiffer, young Uma Thurman and Keanu Reeves (sucky as ever). Malkovich was PERFECTION.
