Funny you mention Perfect Stranger, i was in the video store yesterday and that was for sale and some random person said 'its shit, dont bother'. I've always thought Halle Berry was overrated anyway.

    Children of Men

Great movie, but bleak and depressing.. dystopian future, a lot of it referencing the fascist crap going on right now in a lot of places.

There's one great part in the film, really the climax where a ghetto uprising takes place and the military is sent in to crush it.. it's one long 10 or 15 minute shot of the protagonist running around, trying to dodge tank fire and crazies with guns... really frigging impressive how they managed to pull it off without any cuts at all.

When I was visiting my parents on vacation last week my father rented Perfect Stranger, and tried to get me to watch it. Thankfully, I dodged that bullet.

Aw come on, Clive was all messed up after that scene. He was limping and had a cut on his face.

Checked out The Interpreter with Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn. It wasn't that bad, but the pacing of the movie was a little slow at times.

^^I blame that on bad directing & bad editing.

Yeah, me too. I like Sean Penn as an actor, but I didn't find that he and Nicole had much screen chemistry.

Yeah, the chemistry was off. And Sean Penn looked like he was channeling the character he played in Mystic River. Nicole Kidman was lifeless and boring, as usual.

    24 Hour Party People.

It was alright, somewhat. Steve Coogan was slightly annoying though.

Wild Hogs - it was horrible, though William H. Macy was adorable as usual.

^William H Macy is the one reason I even considered seeing Wild Hogs, and I still haven't gotten around to it. Sad to see him in a movie that looks like such a crapfest.

Saw Love Song for Bobby Long a couple nights ago. It was mostly good, some good performances in there (including Scarlett Johanssen), but felt more like a story suited for a play instead of a movie.
