As I read through all of these posts, I am reminded of how uncool I am. Since I am the sole parent of an 8 year old, I really don't get to watch what I want much of the time. As of late, my house has been invaded by talking Chipmunks. I have seen the squeakuel 4 times in the theatre. The Chipmunks movie from 2007 has been on heavy rotation on the DVD player at home. In fact, I went to 4 places on Tuesday trying to find the Chipmunks beanie babies (found them). One bright spot is we watched Seconhand Lions last night. I absolutely love this movie. Michael Caine & Robert Duvall are awesome and play off eachother like the total pros they are. I totally recommend Secondhand Lions. The Chipmunks...not so much.

^^ I loved Second Hand Lions. I thought it was so cute.

Roger Vadim's Les Liaisons dangereuses. God, what tripe. Bad acting, bad music, bad plot, bad everything. Next on my list is Alphaville.

I finally got around to watching Schindler's List. Now I understand why so many people consider it Spielberg's masterpiece. An amazing piece of filmmaking.

"it's complicated". i really liked it except for that one scene where meryl streep talks to her girlfriends and they all laugh about her being the "other" woman now. that was so stupid and stereotypical. and i love alec baldwin. he's old and chubby but i'd definitely hit it.

Sherlock Holmes -- I now have some serious love for that film! I went into it without knowing the exact plotline; RDJ in the commercials and the fact that it was Sherlock Holmes convinced me I had to see it, regardless of plot. It was fantastic! I want to see it again. RDJ was pitch-perfect as Holmes, and I even loved Jude Law as Watson (and I'm usually not a big fan of him).

Of course, the fact that the movie theater had a bar and we were allowed to take our alcoholic drinks into the movie itself just added to the fun experience. I hadn't seen a movie in a theater in a long time -- this movie was totally worth the money!

Watched another Star Wars today (hahahahahaha...complete crap), then decided it was time for the heathens to finally see Pee Wee's Big Adventure-naturally I enjoyed it far more than they did and now Boogie NIghts is on. Love this movie.

*declares a jihad against Butt over her continued Star Wars blasphemy*

Checked out Madea Goes To Jail. Hysterical. I love Tyler Perry movies. Always funny, but they always have a strong message, too.

I watched Big Top PeeWee with my girls last week. It was spectacular! They laughed like hyenas and demanded to watch it again immediately. I'm trying to find PeeWee's Playhouse on DVD.

    Up in the Air.

Fantastic performances. I just love George Clooney. Not that crazy about that Vera Farmiga lady, she has a weird mouth but amazing performance. One of the best films I've seen lately.
