^^I kept trying to figure out what Mila Kunis' character was suppose to be? They never made it clear.

And, yeah, Max Payne has the guns/explosions/violence that a lot of guys enjoy. That's probably why I didn't hate it. But the story needed to be fleshed out.

Inglourious Basterds. Go see it, even if you hate Brad. He isn't in that horribly much of it, it's more of an ensemble thing. I loved it, BF expected more funny than I did, but still liked the movie a lot.

^^I agree NoDay! Great movie (have always loved Tarantino movies) and I thought Brad Pitt was really good in his role.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua - the dog fighting was sanitized for kids and they made a doberman the bad guy instead of a pitbull, that was nice of Disney.

I also liked how they slammed people who dress up their dogs and think of them as toys.

It was a cute movie, better than I thought it would be.

    A sanitised version, though.

I did too. I'm sort of "take him or leave him" with Brad Pitt. I'll give him credit when he does a good job in a movie, but he isn't that amazing of an actor in general. He was good in this movie.

It was amazing, it was filmed beautifully and it had so many good scenes where the audience knew what was really going on but the characters didn't. The tension it created in every one of those was done so, so well.

The only thing unexpected for me, but that I didn't mind, was how much of the movie was in other languages. Lots of French, a decent amount of German. I didn't care, I like actual foreign films too, but I could see people getting pissed off about it.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit - gee it seemed so much better when it first came out, another classic bites the dust.

    Kickass movie.

This weekend I watched Alexander Skarsgard's little indie movie Kill Your Darlings where he plays the giant tranny. Its an interesting little film, worth a watch. Alex is incredible in his role, very funny and such sad eyes.

Chan Wook Park's Thirst. I didn't like it. The premise was good, but the film wasn't. Disappointment all around.

"In A Dream"... a documentary about Philly street artist Isaiah Zagar filmed by his son Jeremiah Zagar. Really raw, really gut-wrenching at some times because it gets so damn gritty and personal (his wife is a big part of the doc, too, and they confront a huge issue in their marriage), and really inspiring in terms of the art he created/surrounded himself with. A really good doc.. highly recommended.
