I'm hesitant about watching this for the same reasons.

Ugh, I fucking loved Boyhood. I want to watch it again soon.

This morning, for some reason, I woke up wanting to watch Boys Don't Cry. Maybe masochism, idk, because it had me crying before 10 am and left me sad for the day. I forgot how great a film it is.

Birdman - I loved it, thought it was a great movie. I think Keaton deserved the academy award.

the babadook - the acting was really amazing but i didn't find it actually scary which is odd because i can't do scary movies. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2321549/

inherent vice - one of those weird movies that i'm not cool enough to "get". my husband has read the book twice and he watched the movie twice but still hasn't decided if he totally likes the movie.

Infamous: Way, way better than Capote. No disrespect to the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, but Toby Jones portrayal of Truman Capote was more like a performance and less like an impersonation you do at dinner parties.

The Collapsed: Godawful apocalyptic indie film about a family on a vacation in the wilderness who return to find the world ended...I couldn't even watch the whole thing.

8MM: All about snuff films. Joaquin Phoenix was actually cute as the porn store clerk. But it didn't hold my attention.

    My Week With Marilyn.

I don't think Michelle Williams really had the essence of Marilyn Monroe, but I did really like the movie itself.

Dumb and Dumber To. It wasn't that bad. There were some funny parts, but the first one was better.

That's how I felt too. And she lacked Marilyn's killer curves.

Horrible Bosses 2 .... meh. No where near as good as the original. The only highlight for me was a pissed off, incarcerated Kevin Spacey.

Last week we saw The Imitation Game, which we both enjoyed. It was very interesting to see how they broke Enigma. Benedryl Pumpkinpatch and Keira Knightley were both very good.

Yesterday we went and saw Birdman. Man, Eddie Redmayne better be nothing short of spectacular in Theory of Everything because Michael Keaton was fantastic. So were Emma Stone and Edward Norton, who probably would have won the Oscar if it hadn't been for JK Simmons. I enjoyed the camerawork, it gave it a trippy feel lol. All around to me it's a worthy best picture winner.
