Insomnia has me searching for free movies at 2am. Here are those I enjoyed, none are earth shattering - just enjoyable.

Alexanders terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day
    .
Cute movie - watched for Steve Carrel, family friendly

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - ahhh - the ever pleasing eye candy combo of Redford and Newman. Sigh. What in present day is so freaking silly is the bike riding scene with the background song of "raindrops keep fallin' on my head" - what in gods name does that have to do with the damn story. Also a montage is musically backed by what could be termed "70s version of scatting" (my words) you know multiple voices singing "do be do's" and "ba da ba BABAHHHHHHs"' quite merrily. I laughed so hard.

    Draft Day
Kevin Costner plays an NFL general manager the movie takes place in the course of NFLs draft day. I really liked it. Not sure sure of the age difference but Jennifer Garner plays his love interest. Seems like too big of an age gap but she was good in the role. (ETA - there is an 17 year age gap.)

Friends with Kids - Jon Hamm, Maya Rudolph, Kristen Wiig, Adam Scott. Very good movie.

Rabbit Proof Fence- I've seen it before but I watched it over the weekend with a young teen who hadn't. She was crushed by it.

I should probably watch this one again. It was so overwhelming the first time I probably missed things.

    I wanna see that.

Frida. Played by Selma Hayek. It's a biography about an artist who marries artist Diego Rivera who shares her political views. She was a fire cracker spirit who endured a lot of suffering that most people might've never recovered from. I wasn't riveted while watching it but by the end I was touched. On another note, she had a unibrow.

And a mustache, don't forget her famous mustache. But Salma pussed out on that part.

Machine Gun Preacher with Gerard Butler. Not too bad. Jumped around a LOT, but it was decent. through it all, Butler's hair was amazing.

Then we started to watch Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels. It's a Guy Ritchie flick. We lasted 10 minutes. Even with Jason Statham, it wasn't interesting.
hub couldn't understand anything the actors were saying LOL

Gone Girl...nice old-fashioned thriller. Rosamund Pike was excellent. I've liked her since An Education. Ben Affleck was...adequate.

Rewatched RockNRolla, a Guy Ritchie film. I love this movie. It's fun. And it has Tom Hardy and Idris in it. Winning.

She's quite fetching. My favorite line in the movie? "Yes, I AM that c**t!"
