Just watched The Gods Must Be Crazy. Nice story, despite quite a few corny moments.

Love "The Gods Must be Crazy"! Have you seen the second one? It's hilarious!

Never. Until I did my research on imdb like a good Becky, I never knew there'd been sequels.

JoJo Dancer: Excellent movie, even though it didn't have commercial success. First time I noticed Jazz artist Carmen McRae played his granny.. I really can't wait for the movie about his whole life, to have been a fly on the wall when Pam Grier found out he'd proposed to Deborah Mcquire while they were dating.

I still haven't seen Jo Jo Dancer. I need to get around to seeing it.

And I hope they do Richard's life story justice with the movie. They better not half-ass it.

Just watched Prom Night [the remake] and I'm now going to watch American Venus [which got an even worse rating than Prom Night!].

Ne le dis a personne (Tell No One), a french movie starring Francois Cluzet and Kristen Scott Thomas, both of whom I love. I really enjoyed the movie, its classifed as a suspense/thriller, its a bit of a clusterfuck so you do need to pay attention, the plot is kind of convoluted. It is a bit long as well, but it goes by relatively fast. I had fun watching it, so did my husband. I also liked that it had a lesbian lead (KST) who was in a very normal, loving relationship and it didn't feel cliche or overdone.

metropolis. the look of the sets & the special effects were incredible for a film that was made over 80 years ago. though the copy i watched is from netflix, this is definitely a masterpiece of a film i'd like to own.

The Squid and the Whale with Jeff Daniels, Laura Linney and an interesting actor named Owen Kline, the offspring of Kevin and Phoebe Cates. Looks nothing like either of them. Great acting, disturbing characters.

Mary & Max - the latest claymation animation from Adam Elliott who won the animation Oscar a couple of years back. It's funny, sad, touching, dark, clever and technically brilliant. Non-Aussies may not get all the clever little visual gags but I'm sure this will earn Adam his second Oscar.
