"World Trade Center" - my kids sat there completely transfixed through the whole movie. I was watching them more than watching the movie. Both of them born after 9/11.

My husband had 50 shades of shit in our Netflix queue. I made him send it back unopened. Those books kill brain cells.

    Inside Out

I absolutely loved it, I thought it was clever, funny, touching, and developed very interesting ideas on what is means to grow up. Pixar really know how to make great films

Get On Up. Chadwick Boseman's performance as James Brown was excellent. Can't believe that they ignored him At Oscar time.

A.I. I have avoided watching it for years, as I was growing weary of Spielberg at the time. But it is pretty good, and very touching in places.

    Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey.

Meh. It was ok. Not as good as I remembed when I was a kid. But the hell scenes were still really good.

Foxcatcher. Great performances all the way around. Steve C was creepy beyond measure. It left me with the heebeegeebees though and they didn't really explain the motivation behind the ending.

Loved it! Took my step granddaughters. I knew the 8 year old would get it, but was unsure about the 3 year old. Driving home she was in backseat and quietly said, "I want Joy to be my friend. Do you think she will like me?" It led to some great conversations about emotions.

I can't watch this. It happened about 4 miles from my house and was a horrible, tragic time. It was well known that John was insane, and had weapons, but no one expressed concern that he would snap. Now the estate has been turned into a new housing development.

^ Interesting. The movie left out some very key points but it compelled me to read some of the story to fill in the gaps. I think the director gave the watcher the information but it was subtle. They made JOhn seem incredibly creepy. I wonder how different the movie would have been if they put a stronger spotlight on his mental health.

Love that your 3 year old asked those questions.

We watched Field of Dreams last night and it led to some really great conversations as well. Of course, now all of my youngest two think they can get to Heaven by walking into a corn field.
