Love Vegas, was actually way funnier than I thought. Is it just me or does Cameron Diaz look kind of old in that movie?

Poltergeist. I hadn't seen it in years and remembered it being much scarier.

Saw the Seventh Seal for the first time. It was fucking amazing. If you've never seen it, you should (But only if you have the patience for long plays...which is what it is based on/resembles)

    tropic thunder.
hilarious. i liked it a lot more than i thought i would. all the actors are fantastic (especially robert downey, jr), even ben stiller, and even if he plays exactly the same character he always plays, it was somehow not annoying here.

    Atonement.
I wanted to see it for awhile. I didn't dig it as much as I wanted to.

The Ax (Le Couperet) A Costa-Gavras film from 2005 about an unemployed man who decides to literally get rid of the competition. Fantastically well-acted. I don't remember Jose Garcia, the lead actor in anything else but there was a very strong Jack Lemon everyday-man sense about him and he just made the film for me. I just want to watch it again to see if there's anything I missed, so well done! I can't quite place it, it balances between black comedy and drama. It had been one that I had really wanted to catch on the big screen but I missed probably because I had difficulty taking someone with me to see a French film *shakes fist at film-illiterate friends*

    ^^
i haven't seen that one but i know josé garcia. but i'm trying to remember what else he's been in... i've seen him in so many movies but the only ones that come to mind are 'rire et châtiment' and 'trouble every day' (one of the claire denis movies with vincent gallo).
maybe he's so good at playing everyman and that's why i can't remember more stuff he's been in.

Factory Girl - not good, but somewhat entertaining, if you're bored. Hayden Christensen can't act, Make-up and clothes aside Sienna looked nothing like Edie, her features are pretty different. Guy Pearce was kinda hot in a strange manorexic way. Warhol was portrayed pretty antagonistic. I think Edie's life story and the whole factory scene had the potential to be make an interesting movie, too bad it turned out like this.

I also recently saw 99 Francs at the cinema. I loved it! So over the top, very creative, and the author of the book that the movie was based on had a few odd cameos.

Return To The House On Haunted Hill. It was cheesier than the first movie, but it kept me entertained.

I found Mr T's motivational video from 1984 (Be Somebody... or be Somebody's Fool!) in a thrift store and just had to get it. I found it to be "absoludicrous" and laughed myself silly. Well worth the $1.
