Face in the Crowd: I'll never look at Andy Griffith the same again. This role is nothing like Sheriff Taylor! He was great and makes me wonder why he didn't become a bigger movie star. An underrated classic.

The Day of the Jackal: a 1973 political thriller about a hired assassin being chased down by a police commissioner before he kills French president Charles de Gaulle. They seldom make movies like this anymore. It was so well paced and although it didn't have a lot of action, I was on the edge of my seat to see who would get who in the end. Very enjoyable.

Last week I watched an old Carole Lombard film I had never even heard of called "Lady by Choice" (1934) co-starring May Robson. The ending was cheesy, but the film was so sweet, funny, well acted, and kind of racy (for the times) that I just might buy it.

Wild Child. Don't ask me why..... just felt like a movie at the time, so my friend and I went to the cinema and chose this since absolutely nothing else was on at the time. It was OK... it's a nice, cute, clean, kids movie. The acting is pretty shithouse though.

Just got my cable/Internet hooked up and I can now commence with my normal couch potato routine. Happy days!! Celebrated by watching Derailed for about the fourth time!

    vicky christina barcelona. loved it.
great acting and it's just one of those movies that you wish would go on and on because you want to follow all the characters and find out what happened to them.

Coma ... featuring a young Michael Douglas.

The book was really good. The movie just okay.

I remember Coma. That's about as scary as I can handle.

Cool Hand Luke with Paul Newman. Manly movie. Beautifully filmed and directed. He should have won the Oscar for that, but won a Golden Globe. 1967 was a big movie year.

The Samurai with Alain Delon. Gorgeous hitman with flair. 1960's cool.

Alain Delon rocks. He's still sexy, and still making movies.

He's funny too. Some men are do-able at any age.

    Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired

It was a documentary about the Roman Polanski rape case and the man himself. I still find drugging and having sex with a 13 year old absolutely sick but I got to see more about what had been going on and how differently he was treated than an average Joe would have been for the same crime. I just love Polanski's work, I can't help it. And if he weren't a sicko, dead old, midget I might even have a bit of a crush on him too.
