I just watched it. I loved it probably because I love her. I just think she is gorgeousness personafied. Love her. She's a good actress too. Some parts were completely stupid. But I laughed more than I cringed. So it was good. I hope she gets a big career and learns to shut up to keep my love.

    Cool

The Eye (2002), by the Pang brothers, at home => Not the recent Alba flick, but the original chinese film. A very good film, which I could describe as a mix between The Sixth Sense and The Mothman Prophecies.

Naina (2005), by Shripal Morakhia, on DVD => horrifyingly bad indian remake of The Eye, trying to double the fun by adding references to The Ring, The Grudge and Dark Water. The effects are pathetic and the actors are worse than Paris Hilton on a lazy day. The Eye deserves to be watched. Naina deserves to be scorned. The plan was to go see the Alba remake at the cinema afterwards but then I realized the alleged stinkfest wasn't showing anywhere anymore...something to do with it being a stinkfest I presume (still it can't be worse than Naina)

First Daughter (2004), by Forest Whitaker, on DVD => so this is the movie Forest turned Lost down for... A generic, by-the-numbers, cheesy tween romance. Don't get me wrong it was watchable for sure and Forest does some interesting directing, blurring the lines between scenes in a way I've always wanted to do, but there isn't anything special about this film and the (very) similarly-themed Mandy Moore starrer Chasing Liberty is so much better.

Fool's Gold, at the cinema => It wasn't that bad. Sure it was nowhere near great and I'll agree with a person who said the film couldn't decide what it wanted to be. But it wasn't that bad. Probably not worth the price of a cinema ticket (hey I don't pay for my tickets) but watchable. The similarly themed Into The Blue was much better. On a side note, isn't it amazing how Kate Hudson seems incapable of delivering a hit movie? She's a financial black hole yet struts around like she's the hottest thing in Hollywood. Girl must suck a lot of dick!

Salaam-E-Ishq (2007), by Nikhil Advani, on DVD => A very good romantic film, part drama, part comedy. Somewhat similar to Love Actually (but not at all a copy), a movie where we follow the love stories of 6 couples all around the world. After his excellent first film (Kal Ho Naa Ho), gifted young director Nikhil Advani proves that he's one to follow.

The Other Boleyn Girl, at the cinema => An interesting piece of history (though not 100% accurate from what I hear) but not much more. Skharlott Hohansson has never been my type but it was hilarious how ugly she looks when next to true beauty like Natalie Portman (this was even more obvious at the premieres). Nat gets rapingly buttfucked in one scene when Eric Bana couldn't take it anymore which was pretty funny (though not as much as Lust Caution's rape scene). A fun thing is also that this can be seen as a prequel to Shekhar Kapur's Elizabeth movies, though there's no "official" connection.

Interestingly enough I had a strange dream the night before going to see The Other Boleyn Girl (without knowing I was gonna go watch it) in which I was happily married to Natalie Portman. In a way it was a good dream because we loved each other very much and in a way it wasn't because we were threatened at gunpoint some time during the dream...weird, I know...

I saw Cloverfield. It was predictable but the acting was good. I got a bit nauseous because of the camera shaking though.

Iron Man: Pretty good for the most part, mostly due to RDJr's likeable scamp of a character. Paltrow was *almost* likeable, but they turned her character into the ditz clomping around in high heels during a crisis and slapping control panels in girlish confusion near the end.

Also not enough action. It's a superhero movie, there should be at least a huge climactic battle at the end and the one we got was neutered, very short.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall was much better than I thought it would be. I was worried about being burned out on Apatow flicks.

We just rented "Into The Wild". I thought it was a really good film. Emile Hirsch did an awesome job as the main character. Very sad movie, but interesting as well.

that was bad wasn't it? And stupid. Like a whole community is going to go along with his delusion. I didn't like it.

^^I felt pretty much the same. I liked it, but felt the "big" scene at the end was a little "Transformer-ish", and the bad guys~~not so bad. RDJr was really entertaining, I had my doubts going in, but he carried it off well.

Did you stay after the credits...?

I went to two movies over the weekend. Harold and Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo. So funny, I seriously could have pissed myself several times. Also saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Funny, but also kind of sad and sweet
