Sophie Scholl: The Final Days. Brilliant, sad, a wonderful film, and a true story.

Ugh, hubby and his buddy dragged me to see Superhero Movie. Not even smokin the good stuff before helped this shitfest out. The only good thing about it was that Leslie Nielson had a pretty big part and I can't help but adore that man.

Yeah, I love that film, too. And Geena Davis did rock that movie. She and Sigourney Weaver are the only two actresses that are believable as action heros. They were sexy & tough at the same time.

And Samuel Jackson was on point, too. They played off of each other well.

^Sammy J was great in that, he's one of my favourite cursers (the first being Bridget Fonda) some people can swear, and it just doesn't suit them, SLJ does it with flair. ITA on Sigourney too, did you know she started out in Shakespearean theatre?

Oh, and for the record, I think Susan Sarandon would have made an excellent action hero, esp in her youth.

Even if you hate the movies, Milla Jovovich in Resident Evil is another one who is believable as an action hero, she manages to be damn sexy as she kicks ass.

Yeah, nobody can curse like Sam Jackson.

And you're right about Susan Sarandon. I didn't think about her.

I've seen Resident Evil and UltraViolet. Milla DOES kick some ass. Another one I forgot about. But Sigourney and Geena are still the two most believable without having to run around in sexy clothes. Milla's got the body and the look, but she doesn't carry the same weight as SW & GD. But NOBODY can match Sigourney Weaver, not even Geena.

    Untraceable

With Diane Lane. It's at our "dollar movie" now, and definitely worth a see. Some of it's disturbing, of course, but pretty good overall.

Sometimes I just judge a movie by how strong it can hold my attention. This one didn't let me daydream, so I'd say it's entertaining.

I'm a hard act to follow because when I'm done, I take the microphone with me.
