I'm disappointed! I've been wanting to rent this but if it's not worth the money I might not!!

Yeah, SouthernBelle, I'm afraid you'd be very disappointed. The only thing that was good was the acting. The plot was terrible, the scenarios were lame, there was no growth, no resolution, nothing. And it just ended. I mean, I was sitting there, I looked down to pet my kitty, and then next I knew it was just over. Very strange. If I'd paid money (theatre, DVD or On Demand) I'd be very unhappy.

I've actually gotten a credit from Comcast for this reason (the movie was that junk movie with Brittany Murphy and Dakota Fanning in it, can't remember the name).

    Dirty Dancing- ****
I'm proud to say i never fell under any Patrick Swayze spell. The man doesn't appeal to me at all, even with all the hip gyrating.
    Jennifer Grey had such spunk.

About Friends w/Money- I didn't really like the end either, it was so abrupt and there really wasn't a whole lot of resolution. I was pretty interested in the rest, but I think a lot of that was based on the cast (besides JA-although I have liked her in the independent stuff she's done, I didn't hate her in this and she definitely doesn't play Rachel Green). I'd say it's a wait for it to hit TV movie though, I wouldn't pay for it.

Yeah, it could have been so much more. There was a lot to work with. I particularly HATED how she allowed that idiot "boyfriend" to treat her. What was up with that? The acting was pretty good IMO. I thought JA was pretty good, esp. that she didn't look good at all in the movie. I like that about her, that she doesn't care about looking perfect in her movies. I did also enjoy the acting by the rest of the cast. I'm sure they were rolling their eyes at the lame dialogue and plot though. (We have Platinum cable in our house, so for me it was "free" - I believe it was on one of the many Starz channels.)

I saw The Good Shepherd. The flaws that had been mentioned were there, it is too long and can get chaotic and too uninvolved but I liked it ini general. Matt Damon's character was very chilling, he seemed dead inside. There were just rare flashes of any humanity left in him. Angelina Jolie was actually better than I expected as his neglected and humiliated (not to mention cheated on) wife but I think that this film did not need her and the baggage she brings. There were a couple of morons in the cinema who were in the film just to oggle at her and their stupid comments were truly distracting.

The guy who played Matt Damon's character's son is disturbingly freaky looking but I think he serves the plot quite well.

In all, I'd say see it if you don't mind long movies with loads of characters and jumps back and forth in time. It really isn't bad and some of the spy stuff going on is fascinating.

I was dragged kicking and screaming to see it on opening weekend. It was very uncomfortable for me to watch an 80yo man getting his ass kicked. I didn't enjoy it at all.

A french movie called "East-West". It was primarily set in Stalinist Russia after WWII, so as you can imagine, it was no barrel of laugh. Great movie, excellent acting, but very emotionally draining.

    Armageddon- ****
Saw it years ago, and hardly remembered it. Watched it again tonight and it made me cry. The song 'I dont wanna miss a thing' by Aerosmith gets me every time.

Just rewatched Six Degrees of Seperation. Great flick. Hard to believe Will Smith can suck ass so badly now.
