I'll have to see that then. I love Justin Theroux - first noticed him in Romy & Michelle's Class Reunion. He played the stuttering cowboy.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. One of those tv movies from the early 70's. I liked it.

Atonement - The movie was visually stunning, some parts were almost had a dream-like atmosphere. I'm not that sure if I really liked it as an adaption of the book.

The Black Book. Wow it was such a good movie. I highly recommend it. Carise van Houten was excellent.

I liked that movie as well. Go see it if you have the chance.

I just watched Fast Food Nation. Pretty powerful stuff, and a lot more worthy on its own merit (vs merely a message vehicle) than I expected.
There were some pretty stomach-turning scenes within-if I wasn't boycotting the fast food giants already, this would have done the trick.

I'll have to check it out...I didn't discover Lynch until a friend of mine made me watch the Twin Peaks series on tape about 6 years ago(I was too young to watch the original broadcast)...Thank god he did because I've watched the entire series 3 more times since then. That made me then watch Mulholland Dr, Blue Velvet, Lost Highway....all fantastic!

Notes on a Scandal with Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett. Good movie, but I just can't twist my mind around a 30+ woman having sex with a 15yo boy. It's just disgusting and sickening and gross ...

yeah, I've read excerpts from the book, and that alone got me off shit food, fast food and red meat, only very rarely like once a month do i eat red meat and never pork! and no more milk for me either but lots more organics. i should read the whole book!

Maxed Out. **** "Investigating both the personal and the national debt owed by Americans, this thought-provoking documentary explores the staggering financial burden we live with every day and exposes how the contemporary financial industry is set up in ways that can harm unwitting customers.
With both sobering facts and black humor, Maxed Out unveils the consequences of our debt addiction, including its contribution to the vanishing of the American middle class."
Highly recommended. I watched it with my 85-1/2 year old father and 84 year old stepmother. It was very interesting to get their perspective on this issue. The film shows how the credit game in America has completely changed over the past 50 years - especially in the past 10-15 years.
Anyone else seen it?

OK so I've been hooked on LIfetime TV's movies. Maybe its because I'm PMSing. But I'm looking forward to watching the Fantasia Barrino story tonight. I've seen it before on Lifetime and i loved it so I'm definitely going to watch it again

Paris Je T'aime: A good feeler. Some of the segments much better than others. Makes Paris look beautiful.
