We rented The Departed. It was so, so good. I loved Leo before, but now I'm convinced that he is very talented. Mark Wahlberg and Matt Damon were excellent too. Oh and Alec Baldwin was great. I hope it picks up some Oscars. I can't remember if it's up for Best Picture or not. I think Best Director though. He's due for a win.

I just saw The Departed as well, it was FANTASTIC. *****
Very well done, really good movie. I hate Leo ordinarily and he shone in this role, really good.

So, you guys, is The Departed good for we ninnies who can't stand violence or too much gratuitous or fug sex?! Meaning I'm not interested in watching Jack Nicholson's stupid fantasies played out on screen, knowwhatImean??

The sex is pretty much nonexistant, Jack's fantasies only showed up twice. Lotsa guns though, if you don't like gun violence, don't watch it. But the drama is top notch.
Marky-Mark was really good, deserving of his nomination.

Most of the people I know said it was either a wait for the rental or wait til it hits second run theaters kind of movie. They said it wasn't anything near worth the $10/ticket.

Thanks Dean. Guess I'm gonna see it. I can't miss this great acting by all these amazing actors. I'll just have to FF through the stuff I don't want to see, or turn the sound off.

I saw Ghost-rider last night as well. It wasn't a bad movie but I wouldn't recommend anybody to rush out and see it. Some parts are very corny, besides that the special effects were good and eva looks hot as always

The Last King of Scotland ( in cinema) **** Forest Whitaker was great as ex-dictator Idi Amin. I hope he takes home the Oscar for Best Actor.
