The torture is a small part of a long, worthwhile film. I wouldn't not watch it because of that.

I felt like it wasn't necessary. Unless you're stupid, you know that Jesus suffered tremendously and he had to- people were like 'you have to see the torture to appreciate what he did'. But Jim Caviezel should have got an Oscar for that, he did a brilliant job. I wonder why it was never recognized by the Academy?

For a lot of reasons, which I won't go into here, lol. I haven't seen it either, and probably won't though I love Jim Caviezel.

Disturbia - it was ok. The first hour was boring and it only picked up when Shia LaBoeuf's character starts witnessing strange things going on in his neighbours house.
The perfomances were good especially from the actor who played his best friend. Shia LaBoeuf IMO is a star in the making, he is very charasmatic on screen.
I would recommend that people in the UK wait until this comes out on DVD as it's a film that you don't need to see in the cinema.
Slowburn - as the title suggests - very slow; boring and confusing. Nothing happened and i didn't care for any of the characters.

Legends of the Fall, Brad Pitt looked so good in that movie. Besides Brad that movie sure is sad...

Is it sad that I haven't seen a movie, in a theatre, since 2003? With ticket prices, and where we lived in Chicago, babysitters were charging $10-$15 an hour, it was kind of pointless to go.

I finally watched Snakes on a Plane. I think my IQ dropped 10 points.

I saw a French documentary called Le Chagrin et la Pitie (The Sorrow and the Pity). It was over 4 hours long and I thought I would be bored to death but it was amazing. It chronicled the history of the town of Clermont Ferrand during the German Occupation as well as what the majority of the population had been doing during the German occupation. There were also interviews by politicians at the time, French and British mostly as well as some Germans, mainly a German officer who had been in Clermont during the Occupation and some others. It was truly incredible and I could see that it had been forbidden in France for over 10 years after it was made. De Gaulle didn't want to accept some of the truths it was saying. I caught it at a movie festival and I don't know how available it is but it was definitely an amazing experience.

I started Pulp Fiction yesterday and am finishing it today. I wasn't really liking it when I watched it yesterday and turned it off, but am liking it a lot more today. I think I need to rewatch the first half and see if it was just my mood yesterday that was making me not like it.

Thanks for the recommendation. I just searched Netflix and they have it. It received a customer rating of 4 out of 5 stars.

Manic with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Don Cheadle. Screw Zac and Shia, Joseph is the real deal. I love this kid.

Darfur Now. Huge sigh, one for Darfur and one for Don Cheadle. I will see anything with him in it. I'd like to marry him but he's already taken I love everything about that man, esp. his intelligence, passion for his causes and his acting. He's also very easy on the eyes.
It is difficult to watch this movie, but it is well worth it.
