Yeah, I cracked up when she said shrub's a dumb fuck and then looked at the camera and said "you're a dumb fuck" to the shrub....

Absolutely agree with you - I rented this and I DID watch it more than once.
I also watched Bobby (yes, I rented it even though lohan's in it) and I liked the documentary parts - Bobby would have been a fabulous president. It actually made me cry because so many of the things he said still hold true and we're still fucking up in the same ways...

Alpha Dog - brilliant. A very cautionary tale of drug dealers and how one rash decision can ruin your life. Very sad.
Justin Timberlake was good in this.

Watched the last hour of Shall We Dance with Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez. I liked it. I also liked the Asian version. They're both good in their own way. I realize, of course, that one has to like this genre

Last movie I watched was The Omen (2006 version) on cable. It was better than I thought it'd be. My favorite part was when Mia Farrow's crazy ass got run over by the car. I couldn't stop laughing.

I saw The Good Shepherd last night. I was disappointed -- too long, not enough character development. The outtakes on the DVD actually had stuff that explained the family dynamic -- as a director, de Niro makes a good actor. Matt Damon is not my favourite actor, and it is absolutely implausible that Angelina Jolie would marry him, much less spend her life waiting around for him to pay attention to.
John Le Carre nailed the spy stuff a long time ago, and he did it a lot better, too.

Home of the Brave. Bunch of soldiers and a doctor return from Iraq and try to deal with their life. I thought there were some good performances ('cept for 50 Cent, he stank) but the script was a little cliched and predictable at parts. In general I rather liked it and I think it did a fairly good job of presenting a balanced picture of that war.

This weekend I watched Pan's Labyrinth, which was absolutely amazing. I also re-watched Closer and on second viewing, i like it even more than the first time. Clive is so frekin' HOT in this movie.

Yes, I was surprised at how good he was. I liked the movie. It was based on a true story. The only thing I didn't like was how Sharon Stone got in a fat suit at the end. That was unnecessary. If anything the mother actually lost tons of weight. I guess Sharon thought that might be some Oscar bait, her being fat. Stupid.
I also watched The Last King of Scotland which I thought was fabulous. Forest Whitaker really deserved his Oscar. James McAvoy was very good too, and so handsome.
