A photographer who knows I am a Monroe fan gave me a DVD of of one of her earliest films, "Home Town Story." I woke up at 5am and nothing was on TV so I watched it.

Gabriel - boring Matrix like film about guardian angels. Watched about 15 minutes of it, but gave up after that.
Never Back Down - silly but entertaining film about a teenage kickboxer and an underground fight club. Go on a Sunday afternoon and enjoy yourself. It's sort of like fightclub meets the karate kid - with kickboxing. Yes it's stupid. But don't let that put you off. Its a fun film.
Legendary Courtesan Hwang Jin Yi -
Synopsis from IMDB

The life of the famous kisaeng (female entertainer), Hwang Jin Yi, who lived in 16th century Korea.

A dull film which was beautiful to look at. Hwang's story was very dramatic but you never got that sense from this movie. It dragged in places and I found my self fast forwarding quite a bit of it.
The lead actress is gorgeous...but i wouldn't recommend it.
Loaded - utter crap. A very dull movie...not as exciting or as action packed as i thought it would be. The cast is beautiful though...
Synopsis from IMDB

A young, wealthy club kid's life spirals downward into an out-of-control world of drugs, sex and violence.

Into the Wild, I had read the book and enjoyed the movie. I found that Emile Hirsch did a great job in that role.

Martian Child. Loved it. I don't know if it was hormones or what, but that movie really touched me and made me laugh and cry. John Cusack was really great in his role - I personally found the little boy miscast, but I'm sure not everyone else will. It was a really powerful story - a little cheesy at the end, but it didn't ruin the whole thing for me.

Krull - 1983 wannabe fantasy movie.. absolutely dreadful. Poor Peter Hyams has never made a good movie. All the locations were soundstages and looked it. Terrible lighting. THe lead actress was dubbed over in an american accent. THe music score was cobbled together from the composers other works. The direction lamentable. The fight sceneswere so badly done i wanted to cry.
I can appreciate its horribleness.

The book was so-so ... not the least bit scary, and got completely stupid toward the end, with a totally predictable and blah ending. I'm in no hurry to see the movie.

Star Wars: THe Phantom Menace
Still as awful as I remember. I still don't understand what Lucas was thinking.. he says that it was stupid and kiddie because it's Star Wars is a kids franchise and kids like that stuff, but Im guessing his kids are mouthbreathing retards if they got any enjoyment out of it.
I don't recall the first ever Star Wars treating its audience like a Jerry Lewis telethon.

You are so right about Joaquin. He had to have been exhausted bringing forth that kind of emotion. Mark Ruffalo also made me feel
his torture for what he had done.
In The Valley of Elah, Tommy Lee Jones has so much character in his
face that he dose not have to say very much. You could just feel his pain through those eyes!

As much as I LOVE Joaquin, I gotta say...
Have you seen We Own the Night? His performance is fine. But the damn script sucks monkey balls.
