What was the last movie you watched?

I loved No Country for Old Men, I'm actually going to watch There Will Be Blood ...next. I saw Night of the Living Dead..in 3d last night...*shakes head*...I love stupid low budget horror movies..but this was too bad even for me.

I forgot to mention I watched Alien,Aliens, and Aliens 3. Love those movies minus the third one.

Willy Wonka..., no choice, children were present so my eyes were sacraficed to Johnny's teeth for an hour.

Came across "National Treasure", then I remebered I fell asleep when I first watched it.

Later on, "Fast and the Furious", never get tired of the first one but, it's the only one grabs my attention still. The 2nd and 3rd sucked like hell.

Tell you what friendo, it makes all the sense in the world, and I've never touched a single drug in my life. People have different opinions and tastes when it comes to movies, music, literature, etc, and even other people...And thank god for that! Yes I do like Crash better than Brokeback Mountain. I absolutely love Paul Haggis's works and believe him to be one of the most talented screenwriters working today, and while I think Brokeback Mountain is a great movie and one of the very best of 2005, but it's also one of the most overrated movies of 2005, hell of the 21st century. Even though I list it among my favorite movies (a list over 200 movies long) it's not that special after all, and overly long. In fact I can list several other movies from 2005 which I also believe to be superior: Munich, Match Point, Pride & Prejudice, The Constant Gardener, Walk The Line and the first Narnia movie. I think Ang Lee deserved the Best Director Oscar which he got, but not the Best Picture. As a filmmaker myself I'm attracted to different things in different movies and to me beautiful imagery and great acting was what Brokeback Mountain and No Country For Old Men have going for them the most. I've seen quite a few Coen movies (at least half their filmography) and my opinion is that as a film, No Country... is their weakest. And you know what, it's great that you loved it, I really liked it too, but a lot of people didn't like it, and even hated it. Even quite a few people right here in this thread. I will defend stuff which I like, but I won't defend myself for liking it, that's just ridiculous. I like what I like, I prefer what I prefer, you like what you like, you prefer what you prefer, I don't see why you need to get on my throat. I think Atonement is one of the 5 best movies of 2007 and No Country For Old Men is maybe one of the 10 or 15 best. Good for you if you think otherwise, give yourself a nice hand.

Anyway, while Grimmlok was showing off his lack of taste (no offense, you guys disrespected me), here's what I watched:

Rough (2006), by Kentarô Ôtani, at home => A swimming competition centered romantic drama based on Mitsuru Adachi's manga of the same name. Adachi's incredible talent for storytelling is visible in every frame of this movie, very tastefully filmed by Kentarô Ôtani wo graces the viewer with some superb visuals. The actors (including Masami Nagasawa, one of my favorite people of the world) did a great job at giving the right sensibility to their characters. A very pleasant movie.

No, I said the original Fantastic Four movie had better comedic timing than the sequel, and Silent Hill actually has no story to speak of, a whopping 2 themes, but does a good job making the film LOOK like the videogame but is absolutely bereft of narrative, plot or denouement. Try to get what I said right.

Also, I didn't like Dungeons & Dragons and thought it was rather bad, don't cha know? But yes videogame movies have the potential to be great ,hey, and just because none of them have been great and only a couple of them good doesn't mean they can't be, don't cha know? By the way Fantastic Four was about as good as Dungeons & Dragons, only worse, don't cha know don't cha know?

Perhaps the concept of ascending scales of quality are foreign to you. Better means it had moments where the comedic timing was an improvement over the subsequent sequel. Thus, even if it had ONE moment thus described, it falls under this description.

Yes, it's called an education in the arts and media. It does wonders, and enables one to use said words with confidence. Secondly, yes I did answer so you might want to go back and read. I mostly just brushed aside your shaky descriptions with scorn, but it's there in print.

Lastly, if you write screenplays and are praised for it and you feel any kind of artistic kinship with half the things you praise, it's no wonder hollywood is in such a dumbed down sorry state. No offence, but nothing you've written here would pass muster in an 8th grade english lit class.

I agree, I absolutely love Crash. I can't find a fault in it. Brokeback is nowhere near as good. I could hardly understand Enis' (is that his name?) anyway, Heath Ledger's characters dialogue most of the time.

I pretty much echo everything he says. Silent Hill really in a poor excuse for a movie. If this is what we can expect from Hollywood in the future then I feel very sorry for anybody who likes them because they don't even realise they have no taste. Just like emo music lovers.

And Crash was a good movie... BUT... really only just good. Not excellent, not thought provoking. I rented it and then took it back and when it won the Oscars I went out and rented it to see it to see what all the fuss was about, only to realise that I'd already rented it.

It's just not that special! *puts on boxing gloves*

I also thought Brokeback was incredibly ordinary. Who are these reviewers, giving these films 5 stars? What's happened to their souls, I ask?
