^^^ Haven't seen Generation Kill yet and don't know who this guy is, but I could definitely see him as Alcide.

BOOK SPOILER Follows...
Isn't Bill on a "mission" for the queen? It seems so just from TB and quite aside from the spoilers I know from the books. Since Lorena is Bill's maker she "always knows where he is" and would know he's got some sort of connection to the queen. Since Bill is an ordinary vamp off the streets, so to speak, with no legitimate business to discuss with a monarch Lorena would find it odd he was spending time with QSA. The King, wanting dirt on QSA, could be convinced by Lorena to back her in the kidnapping (for her own reasons obviously) due to Bill's odd familiarity with the queen. Something MUST be going on between Bill and QSA, they have to figure, and they will try to torture it out of him. A queen sending a vamp to seduce a human and bring the girl under her influence is probably not a vamp crime, but it would sure be a political and pr disaster if it became known and would be something the King could hold over QSA's head.

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about that. That shit doesn't come to light until book 5 or 6 though, right?

I have no idea but there's nothing stopping Ball from moving up the revelation of what Bill has been up to. It could cause the break-up and lead into season 4/book 4, and Ball has already said Eric would have amnesia at some point.

*spoiler*he cheats on her in Book 3, right? And she dumps him. She never takes him back and then in like Book 5, she finds out that the queen sent him to seduce her? right?

Correct. Spoiler: Not sure which book she finds out, but I think you're right about it being 5. I'm *still* wondering though if that might have been a plot twist that will come up in later books ... I have my suspicions that Eric might have MADE Bill falsely confess because Eric has *always* wanted Sookie under his control and breaking that final bond between Sookie and Bill would give him infinitely more power. Remember, it is always stated that in Eric's world, Eric comes first above all else (with the exception of his amnesia). It would not surprise me that Eric would lie and coerce Bill to get what he wants. Just my own thoughts/opinions.

I don't think this has been posted yet, but this was on Ausiello today:

Ok, I have to rant. Bill Lovers are getting out of hand. I am convinced the lot of them are right-wing Repukes. They come on TB boards and start ranting and raving about all the "Bill hate", fight dirty, then whine to the mods about everybody ganging up on them. Just like Repukes, and BEEL, they are constantly complaining about their 'victim' status. Worst of all, the mods, just like the Democrats, can't stand up to the cacophonous assault and invariably end up intervening, telling people to "stop the character bashing". FOR FUCKS SAKE, we're talking about a fucking FICTIONAL CHARACTER.
None of these household whores know a thing about fiction, film, editing, perspective, pov, character development, nothing. Nothing at all about TB concerns them but defending Bill--actually, defending a TYPE--Bill is only a representative of what they think a man should be, the type of man a woman should aspire to marry, the shallow prototype of the Perfect Republican Man--domineering, controlling, authoritarian and at the same time, seemingly a "moral" "god fearing" "family values" "Daddy" figure.
It doesn't help that Alan Ball and Charlaine Harris are continually propping up Bill and declaiming they have no idea why everybody is so gaga over Eric. This kind of propaganda only gives the petulant gang of bleached blonde dunderheads a sense of entitlement--I imagine them as a black-eyed legion of Ann Coulter clones-- and the sneering smugness on constant display is enraging. Their gushing infatuation with a seriously disturbed character and their sophomoric and illogical excuses and justifications for every disgusting thing Bill does is every bit as frightening as anything Ann Coulter has ever said.
Shit, I know this is fucking teevee show but something else, something larger than a "shipping war", is going on here. I'm telling you, if AB doesn't reveal Bill as a murderous sociopath like I am convinced he is (George Bush fictionalized) I might have to go throw my 52" through a Repuke campaign office. ANY Repuke campaign office.
