Watch the commentaries, Mel. I found them interesting. There aren't any really good special features on the DVDs though, some of the fake vampire commercials were cute.

I will. I'm gonna watch it and then start reading the books. someone from work brought me the first book, so I may actually go home and start reading that tonight & then my dvds will be at la casa on Friday and I'll have a pleasant way to avoid the damn heat.

**laughs at folks in the heatwave**

Today is the first day Denver is supposed to hit 90 this year, but I don't think we're going to make it that high, there's a lovely cool breeze coming down off the mountains.

Tsk, tsk. I guess the heat does make people touchy.

Hope you enjoy the books, I really like them a lot.

I started reading the books because the commentaries kept saying things like "of course the books go into this deeper". I'm only 100 pages or so into the first one, but I'm enjoying it so far. Just different enough to keep me interested and not think I'm reading what I just watched.

I finally caught up with Season 2, and I'm enjoying it even more than the first one.

I'm sooooo glad that Lafayette is still alive, and I'm very intrigued by the sexual vibe between him and Eric, fucked-up though it is, and wish to see more.

Eric is hotness personified. In fact, everyone is looking hotter this season-Bill, Lafayette, Tara's hotass of a new boyfriend...I even enjoyed Jason's shirtless football scene, though I felt dirty afterwards.

I loved that they're delving into the Church part. Jason is the perfect candidate for culties.

Eric is the hotness. I do hope the show follows the book in that respect re: Sookie and Eric. But since I don't like her whiny ass, I'll probably be here complaining how she is not hot enough for him. Eric and Pam, now there's a pair.
Exactly the reason I don't want them together in any way.

I think it was easier in that scene because you couldn't see his face.

But yeah, he looks retarded.
