Yeah, Tara can't catch a break. But the look on MaryAnne's face when she found out that Tara might move in with Sookie could spell trouble for Sookie. And what's so special about Eggs & Tara that MaryAnne wants them to 'mate?'

And Lafayette needs to be at Merlotte's. It's not the same without him. Besides, Sam might need a vampire Lafayette around if MaryAnne's going to shapeshift him back into Lassie against his will.

And the thing that got me was that the guy who made friends with Jason on the bus did a complete 180 before the episode was over. And the preacher's wife is definitely going to shatter the commandments with Jason.
I didn't think of that angle.

He wasdealing with that pretty well until Jason became the star of the camp. It must seem to him as if Jason has been "blessed" or annointed while he's left out in the cold. Jason's guilt over his compassion toward Eddie will be his downfall because that dude is a classic bully/jock, a master at spotting weaknesses and exploiting them.
Good points.

I really don't see the big deal with Jessica's family. Bill should just let her eat her daddy and then glamour mom and little sister. Problem solved. He really went way overboard in yelling at Sookie.

Damn, Eggs looked good working in the garden.
I think the reason Bill snapped at Sookie was because she had just given him grief about doing things behind her back (turning Jessica & killing Uncle Bartlet) and then she goes behind his back with Jessica's family. Especially after he warned Sookie that as a new vampire Jessica wasn't going to have a lot of impulse control, and the messy situation with the family that Bill has to clean up is a result of that.

Sookie is always bitching and moaning at Bill about something. I was wondering when he would stop being so pussy-whipped and gentlemanly with her. Can you imagine him coming to the door and saying "Sookay, it was most untoward of you to do this. Now kindly step aside while I correct this inconvenient situation." I almost expected him to do just that!

Ah! I do'nt like to come in this thread during the season since it has potential future spoilers but I can't keep away!

K, first, I hated Sooookay's hair last night. I hope that hairstyle doesn't become a regular thing. Alexander Skarsgard's new hairstyle was great. Eggs body is mouthwatering. I hope they keep showing him half naked (or all) . And Lafayette stole the show, as usual. Pussylover.com HAHAHA

Or 'Sookaaayyyyy, please allow me to clean up the mess you made, which was most undoubtedly MY fault because I created Jessica and kept it from you. Please forgive me, Sookaaaayyy.'

Mel, you've never watched True Blood at all?

I think that scene was the first time Eggs has gone shirtless.

Nope, last night was the first time. And jumping in now is a little confusing ... I am missing the concept... vampires and people and church camp... maybe I'll see about renting season 1 at blockbuster...

Yes, do rent season 1.

The concept is, a Japanese company developed a synthetic blood product called True Blood, which could sustain the life of vampires and caused them to come out of the closet, so to speak.

The vampires are a sort of stand-in for teh gays, with all of the attendant back and forth debate and struggle between the vamps/gays and liberal types who believe in vamp/gay rights on the one hand, and fundies on the other. Naturally the Deep South, with all the hypocrisy and deeply rooted religious fervor, is the perfect setting to dramatize these wildly divergent viewpoints. And of course Louisiana has a long history which lends itself to being the setting for these "woo" type stories, ie VooDoo, Witchcraft, Cat People, Ann Rice, etc.

I have to say though, Anna Paquin has some great boobs.

Sookie is annoying. I was glad when Sam finally told her off. She always has her judgy pants on or is complaining about something. I don't get where Bill's passion comes from for her. She must be a great lay.

I loved that they're delving into the Church part. Jason is the perfect candidate for culties.

Eric is the hotness. I do hope the show follows the book in that respect re: Sookie and Eric. But since I don't like her whiny ass, I'll probably be here complaining how she is not hot enough for him. Eric and Pam, now there's a pair.

Another good episode of True Blood last night. I'm not surprised Jessica and Hoyt found each other. I remember Hoyt saying last season that he wished he could meet a nice vampire girl around the time Jessica was added. So it was only a matter of time.

I'm shocked Lafayette's not a vampire. But they need more scenes between him & Pam. 'Bitch, you're not exactly my type.' 'Can I kick him?'

And Dr. Ludwig telling Eric to 'fuck off' was another comedy highlight.

Cool episode.

The girl who plays Jessica is a very good actor. Watching her face change from wanting to feed on Hoyt to realizing she might really like him was amazing. Subtle and very touching.

And Dr. Ludwig telling Eric to 'fuck off' was another comedy highlight.

Seriously! I hope we see more of the doc. And watching Sookay stand up to Eric was scary, funny, and thrilling all at the same time. "I'll grow on you" "I'd rather have cancer".

Wonder wtf kind of critter attacked Sookay? And what has it turned Daphne into?
