OK I take that back as I did make a killer West African Peanut soup that had tomato juice in it for my blog.

No *I hate kids/I do not respect the palate of a fuckin' ten year old/I am not dumbing down my gourmet food ..blah blah blah* shit.
Lisa was rocking her best bitchface at judges table again*surprised? uh..not really*. Glad the genial, sweet, almost Mr. Roberts-like guest judge even seemed to HATE her!
I am such a sap for the storylines they feed me too. Now they have me liking Antonia again.
And My GAWD!!..Nikki nearly WON the challenge! Good for her for at least getting in the top! And that chicken dish sounded so good!
I fear for Spikelos in the 'Wedding Wars' coming up. I have a feeling I am going to lose my two current favorite pieces of reality show eyecandy in the next week, and Spikelos will be one of them.
*also according to the blogs the Guest Judge actually liked the taste of Stephanie's dish..that and Tom's love for her( 'but she has done so well with seasoning and flavor profiles up until now') may have saved her. Fortunately as I like her.

Wow that must have been some really bad editing last night because Padma basically said she gagged on Stephanie's food. I think I'm done with this show. I mean I know all these competition shows are rigged to some extent but this was ridiculous. Are they so desparate for a female winner that they will knock a man out of the competition who didn't deserve to go last night. I'm just furious not only because Mark was my favorite and eye candy and had an accent to swoon over but because if they wanted to go by the way they made it look he should not have been the one leaving.

Mark had a good personality and a cool accent but his food was forgettable and that curry looked awful. It was his turn to go.
My picks are richard or Dale.

I was shocked too. When I saw it mentioned I had to go read the blog myself. Didn't Padma say she detested it? And I remember the Guest judge saying it did not work together..but in the blog he says:
Stephanie: Peanut butter, tomato, chicken, and couscous, actually sounds bad but tasted great. She put combinations together like a child would but it had great flavor
Tasted great? he condemned the dish as mucky and the couscous as terrible, but now says it tasted great? I totally understand your frustration.
*Also, even WORSE, Ted confirms in his blog that Antonia and Lisa DID USE POLISH SAUSAGE in their dish. As much Polish sausage was used as chorizo!. Now how the HELL would we have known that from watching the damn show? It makes all of us who bitched "but they didn't even use polish sausage.." look like idiots!!! GRRR!!

Are you serious? From what we watched they said they didn't use polish sausage AT ALL. I do feel like an idiot because quite honestly I couldn't figure out why they sent Jen home when Antonia and Lisa didn't even follow the damn challenge. Yeah Padma said something to the effect that it was gross. It seemed to me they made great efforts to ignore Mark's food. A lot of times during the quick fires they didn't even film what he was doing. I guess I need to read the blogs but I think it might make me madder. Thanks for the info!!!

Here is the recipe right from the Bravo site where it lists the recipe's!!!
Antonia and Lisa's recipe:
Purple Potatoes:
1/2 lb purple potatoes
1 cup cream
Butter
Salt and pepper to taste
2 oz chorizo
2 oz Polish sausage
1/4 bunch scallions
1 shallot
Flour for breading
Cilantro to taste
2 red onions, thinly sliced
5 cloves peeled garlic, thinly sliced
Vinegar for cooking
Sea Bass:
1/2 lb Chilean sea bass
Butter for basting
Citrus Reduction:
3 limes, juiced
3 lemons, juiced
1 1/2 oranges, juiced
1/2 cup tequila
Additional Ingredient:
1 oz canola oil
The show made us all look like idiiots and we bitched and moaned about the elimination without having the basic facts..and during the show the judges LIED about them not using Polish Sausage!!! fuckers. We bitched about something that DID NOT HAPPEN. They mentioned the chorizo again and again but nothing about AS MUCH POLISH SAUSAGE being in the dish as chorizo. Ted even had screen caps of the Polish sausage being used.
So they used purple potatoes, they used Polish sausage, and they drank the Tequila at the table-so technically they DID meet the challenge-if not very well... and they thought the dish tasted good. No wonder Jens team lost.
*Ted has edited his blog and some of the more damning stuff has been removed it seemed. Backlash much?

The executive producers absolutely manipulate the results of this show ... I've watched every season and you always see some clever editing to "justify" some of the judges decisions. Donkey Kong absolutely plays favorites, and Panda is a model, not a chef.
I'm still waiting for them to do it to the wrong contestant who will out them.

I tend to call "Padma' .."Potma". She always seems stoned or drunk or something. Remember the clever 'editing' of Marcel/ShaveGate? And how we all learned it was shown completely out of sequence, with all the first part crap(Elia shaving her own head) happening AFTER he had been assaulted? I hate those editing monkeys.

Ugh don't remind me of that. I shouldn't be watching the show now after all that. Everyone of those asshats should have been tossed on their asses not just Cliff after that even though Sam was yummy. I'm still pissed that Idiotan won that season stealing recipes from his boss.

EvIlan is still my most hated cheftestant of all time. At least in Tom C's defense, he did argue for ALL of them to be booted and Marcel declared the winner by default, but was overruled(naturally) by the show producers.

So this stuff with Ted's blog and the Polish sausage...I don't get it at all. Why would they edit it to make it seem like they didn't use it at all. The way L & A kept saying they would never use PS and the judges complaining that they didn't use it. Could this (Ted's blog) be damage control? I know you can't trust what they show on TV, but I'm having a hard time believing they used the ingredient, even if the recipe says so.
