Okay, as much as Ryan is an absolute idiot I think Nikki should have gone home. What did she make last night? She cut onions and peppers and then made a sauce. That was all she prepped! I could get store bought sausages, cut peppers and make a sauce and I suck a cooking! Bottom line: she didn't even make her food, she bought it pre-made and heated it.
Was it bad of me to feel vindicated when Dale won b/c Lisa was being such a bitch about him being in the bottom 3 at the quickfire? My husband was appalled at how Lisa looked when her and Dale were talking in the morning. I get you want to be yourself, but geesh, spruce yourself up some!
My husband was so excited about the beer challenge...then he saw the beer they handed out, he was pissed. Hysterical!

Nikki so should have went home. She didn't even make her sausages for crying out loud. Mark is such a cutie he can double dip with me anytime!!! I don't want Jenn to say she's doing it for Zoi every week either she should just do it and I don't get her Spike hate.

Nikki has been out of her league since the beginning. I hope she's the next one to go.
I was sad to see Mark do such a crappy job on this last episode. I like him. Or maybe I just like his Kiwi accent...

I think what really got her goat was when, referring to Zoi leaving, he(spike) told Jenn that she could 'cry about it all night long'. That was a little harsh..and with Jenn ,already pissed that she did not think it should have been Zoi(cause she does not see that Zoi is a crap chef cause she is in lurve!) leaaving, that was just like Spike dumpiing boiling oil on Jenn. Even I thought it a tad nasty..it must have burned into Jenn's brain like a hot poker.

So who PTKAG's tonight? I hope Evangelos stays. I need my eyecandy. Wonder if Nikki's teflon coating is starting to wear off? The previews make is seem like Andrew turns all serial killer tonight-no stretch of the imagination needed there. I have a feeling I am going to just hate this challenge tonight. It looks really really stupid to me.

It looks like a weird challenge and I hope Tom doesn't wear a stupid hat again.
Yeah in the previews Andrew looks pissed but that could be creative pre-editing.
I have a ritual with this show...a nice dinner and a glass of wine...

So much for the previews showing Andrew as the angry guy.
Mr guest pastry chef was kinda hot...
I thought the elimination was wrong. Jen at least tried to stay within the boundaries of the theme while Lisa and Antonia did not have polish sausage and did a shot in front of the judges.
Dale and Richard are the dream team of Top Chef!

I totally agree, I'm not sure why Jen was the one to get booted. Of course they wouldn't kick Stephanie off, she's been in the top group every time except for last night.
It bothers me that Lisa and Antonia didn't want to dumb down their food so they didn't make polish sausage, instead they choose chorizo. There is hardly a difference other than the spices used!! The challenge was to use the food given, if you don't you should go home. Plus, I hate Lisa. She's a raging bitch and has a real superior attitude.

The bitch Lisa should have gone home. Spikelos looked hot and redeemed himself. Poor Antonia almost had to vomit in her mouth-he almost won with his soup.
Could Antonia and Lisa possibly have been more depressing? Could Tom C be any more perplexing with his judging? Could the guest judge be any more of a turn on? Could I love Spike any more than I do now?-yes, when I get drunk that is! I also wonder if Richard has yellow, orange, purple, magenta, or green crocs to go with his pink ones?

I know!
I giggled at Mark being caught in his blue undies too. He seemed a bit embarrassed.

Boy I wasn't giggling!!!
I think Cosuckio is in love with Stephanie so I knew it wasn't going to be her but I don't care if Antonia and Lisa's dish was better they totally blew the challenge. I was hoping for a Spike win but I gotta admit that Richard is talented some of the ideas he comes up with.
Oh and damn those desserts looked awesome!

^^Those desserts did look great. Good think I had stuffed on pizza so I was not consumed with desire for them. And to think..that guest judge is THAT hot..and can make THOSE desserts! Heaven I tell you!
*I did see somewhere where Chef Johnny was voted 'sexiest chef'. Forget where though.

Sorry to see Mark go. I really thought the cheftestants(Keckler's word) did really well overall, both with the quickfire and elimination food, and the working with the kids thing. The kids seemed like such good kids and good sports..and *shock* the chefs were good sports too! No *I hate kids/I do not respect the palate of a fuckin' ten year old/I am not dumbing down my gourmet food ..blah blah blah* shit.
Lisa was rocking her best bitchface at judges table again*surprised? uh..not really*. Glad the genial, sweet, almost Mr. Roberts-like guest judge even seemed to HATE her!
I am such a sap for the storylines they feed me too. Now they have me liking Antonia again.
And My GAWD!!..Nikki nearly WON the challenge! Good for her for at least getting in the top! And that chicken dish sounded so good!
I fear for Spikelos in the 'Wedding Wars' coming up. I have a feeling I am going to lose my two current favorite pieces of reality show eyecandy in the next week, and Spikelos will be one of them.
*also according to the blogs the Guest Judge actually liked the taste of Stephanie's dish..that and Tom's love for her( 'but she has done so well with seasoning and flavor profiles up until now') may have saved her. Fortunately as I like her.

Peanut butter and tomato?
That just doesn't sound good!
Anyway between the Uncle Bens product placement and the challenge it was more like Top Home Chef.
I think the editing monkeys made it obvious Mark was going home.

I thought so too at first. But then I remembered how much I liked to dip peanut butter sandwiches in tomato soup. Also a number of people posted about how tomatoes and peanut butter are found together in many West African dishes. I think it maybe a question of just knowing how to do it correctly.
They will get more upscale I think as they winnow down the chefs. Especially after the Restaurant Wars. The later episodes usually have the high end food challenges. And yeah, the Uncle Ben's whoring was just so blatant!
And yeah, Mark blowing on his whatchamacallit was a clear sign to say 'buh-bye' to Mark.
